Schnellbremsventil.

Quick brake valve. The main idea laid down in patent no. 91078, namely to be able to set certain pressure levels both when tightening and when releasing a 1) air brake, is carried out with the help of slides as control organs, which are also in the form of ground Piston valves have proven their worth, as they can be used to achieve very exact conclusions.
The existing possibility for such a slide to show small leaks in the company does not usually play a role because any compressed air losses are constantly added from the main line, which means that there is no independence from the contents of the auxiliary air tank.
Experience has shown, however, that with this basic arrangement, as with other compressed air brakes, the leaks can, under certain circumstances, have a certain influence, namely in the event that, for example, when the cable tears and thus the hose : couplings no further feeding with air gap through the main supply line; for such a case, however, the braking that then occurs is solely dependent on the compressed air content of the auxiliary air tank.
This can now be exhausted by small leaks in the control organs and it is the purpose of the present invention to remedy this exceptional case. For this purpose, the control elements are designed so that in the end position entering the main line with a complete pressure drop, the compressed air exhaust from the brake cylinder is additionally shut off; Again, this is best done in the form of a valve, preferably with the help of a soft seal.
So it apply for the rule all advantages -der Schiebersteuerunb retained, while for the exceptional case mentioned, namely the peculiarity of these control elements to thank you for annoying leakage is canceled. If, even under the pressure of the compressed air, self-sealing planing slides generally keep tight, it can of course be advisable to use such an additional seal for safety reasons.
In order to bring this idea of the additional barrier to the most perfect execution, of course all wece on which the air. can escape into the open through the actual Breins control valve, so that two respectively. even three; Sealing points can come into question.
Since, as with the known poppet seat valves, the support conditions for such a multiple closure are statically indeterminate, special allowances can be made to guarantee that the individual sealing points are used in accordance with the law.
The drawing shows, for example, embodiments of the subject of the invention. FIGS. 1 and 2 each show a Drols- hammer control valve according to the invention; Fi-. 3 relates to a variant.
The control piston 10 is under the pressure of the double spring 11, which he give under mediation of the constant 1? is supported by the spring plate 1.3.
The actual control slide 15, which is supported by spring 16 against the piston 10 and which controls the influx of the compressed air from the auxiliary air container through the channel 27 via the valve 35 to the connection 17 leading to the brake cylinder, moves on the piston stance 14. <B> 27 '</B> connects the upper part of the housing with the main supply line. When the pressure falls in the latter,
then the piston 10 moves upward and biases the spring 16; the same moves the control slide 15 upwards, which establishes the connection between 27 and 17 until the intended pressure in the brake cylinder is reached; then the control spool returns to its original position under the UTirliung of this pressure.
The compressed air is exhausted to the brake cylinder through channels 18, which are guided in the liner 19 parallel to the axis and open into the interior with cross bores, and which in the position shown are free from the lower edge of the control slide 15. ht be. :

To complete the solution to the task of sealing the Steuerkol ben 10 is provided with a seal that prevents the escape of compressed air along the piston. For this purpose, the piston 10 is provided on its outside with a face-plate seal 28 which, as a rule, d. H. when there is pressure above the piston, is pressed from the wall of the liner 19, so that the easy mobility is not hindered.
With sharp fem brakes, however, the pressure drop reverses in that the pressure over the piston completely or almost completely disappears, so that the overpressure now acting from the inside to the outside presses the faceplate 28, sealingly against the cylinder wall. An improved face-plate seal is shown in FIG.
Immediately below the edge of the faceplate 28 in the outermost end position: the piston 10 has a bore B from a storage container A surrounding the bushing 19.
In the normal working positions of the control piston 10, this space fills with compressed air t through the bore B '; With the corresponding pressure relief of the piston 10, this closes the bore B by means of the faceplate 28 (pressure still 3.8 atm.), so that a volume of air from the associated pressure remains closed in the storage space A.
This presses with further pressure relief and movement of the control piston 10 in its outermost end position, the faceplate 28 against the wall of the liner 19 by filling the annular recess C behind the faceplate 28.
In the Ausfüh shown in Fig. 2 approximately this faceplate is erüb rigt by the control piston at its two drive points from the actual working housing valve-like seals 10, 31 above and 23, 26 below, through which the housing is closed to the outside. The desired connection is achieved with the aid of simple compression of sealing parts against one another, which also only arrives in the end positions of the piston, while the free play of the piston is in no way impaired in its intended positions.
Since these two valve seats 31 and 23 are now at the points of passage of the piston to the outside on the same rigid body, two support conditions result; it is possible to alleviate this phenomenon somewhat by switching on soft seals, but without being able to fully control the bearing pressure distribution.
This sub-task is now achieved in that one of the two valve plates moved by the control piston is supported resiliently against the piston, with the interposition of a spring which is legally assigned to the actual piston spring.
This makes it possible for the resilient valve disk to initially lie on its seat, while the second valve disk is now also placed on its seat with its spring being compressed accordingly by the piston spring, with a very specific bearing pressure distribution. The structure of the entire device according to FIG. 2 corresponds initially to FIG. 1, only here the bores 18 in the liner 19 are omitted, while the control slide 15 is provided with simple transverse bores 18 ', which are located under half the end face of the liner 19 mouth.
At the point of passage of the piston rod 12 is screwed on, 2 cap 33 held, the valve seat 31 in Ge form of a leather washer is provided, while at the point of passage of the rod 14 of the Zwischenbocleix 23 is formed into an annular valve seat.
The rod 14 carries the valve disk 25, which is also covered with a leather washer 26, and which is supported by the spring 30 against the rod 14 .ab, a cap 32, which is equal to
