Process for the production of thread cutters, device for the implementation of the <B> (los </B> process and thread cutter manufactured according to the same. In the known thread cutters, all threads lie on a cylindrical core. So that the entire material is not removed with one chip The first thread turns are shortened. Their height increases slowly. Until the last turns show the full cross-section. The chip removal takes place in a radial direction, and therefore trapezoidal chips are lifted off, which tend to tear on the thread flanks.
To create a clean thread; the chip thickness may only be very small. In order to achieve chips that are as flat as possible, the thread cutter must have many threads and therefore be very long. In practice, it is therefore divided into three shorter cutters, known as pre-cutters, middle cutters or post cutters.
The invention now relates to a method for producing thread cutters, according to which a copying pin articulated to the steel used for cutting the thread in the workpiece is guided along a template running around the workpiece.
Furthermore, the subject matter of the invention is a device intended for carrying out the method, as well as a thread cutter manufactured according to this method.
The accompanying drawing serves to explain the process by way of example and shows various examples of taps according to the invention made according to this process, as well as an example of the device that enables the process to be carried out.
Fig. 1 shows a view of a workpiece for a thread cutter .gemäss the invention He; Fig. 2 shows the finished thread cutter in longitudinal section; Fig. 3 is a like representation of a second embodiment of the thread cutter; Fig. 4 is an end view of Fig. 2;
Figure 5 is a view of a template, and Fib. 6 a view of the device equipped with such a template for producing a thread cutter according to FIG.
Fib. 7 is a cross-section through the pre-cutting part of another embodiment of the thread cutter according to the invention as part of manufacture, FIG. 8 a front view of the template for the heating of C-taps according to Fier b. 7,;
Fig. 9 shows a cross section of another embodiment of the template; Fi-. 10 and 11 are cross-sections through further embodiments of thread cutters herbestell th according to the method according to the invention, during the Her position; Fig. 1 \? 13 and 13 show, in a schematic diagram, two consecutive teeth of a clanbe of thread cutters according to FIG. 111 resp. 11.
The work piece a drawn in FIG. 1 forms a truncated cone over the length of the attachment part, the axis of which coincides with the work piece.
This truncated cone has the largest diameter at tt-tt, while its end face 1-t has a diameter equal to the diameter of the drill hole.
The work piece prepared in this way is stretched between lathe centers for further processing after an axis <B> - </B> y intersecting the axis xx approximately at point <B> Z </B>, whereupon the thread on the pre-clinching part <B > v </B> is cropped,
as in Fib. 1 is dotted and shown in Fig. N in solid lines, so that high and flat teeth are created, which alternate on the circumference of the thread cutter. There is a threading with the axis y-g, which represents the center of gravity of the core of the preliminary element.
Should the finished clinical part be ri instead of full thread teeth as in Fib. 2 around the axis a - x with threads around the axis J-y, then the part ri is turned off after the pale axis Izebelig, as in Fig. 1 in the upper half by the> _ ## liraffed area b, which is now omitted,

<SEP> with the <SEP> tooth <SEP> IlL -11-i12> -14 - l3 and with tooth IV the tooth on the cutting edge il, -i "is higher than on the end edge i, 9-i, 8, while on tooth I i-i2 <i3-24 and on tooth II i "- i" <i, -i ". The teeth I and II would give a good cut, on the other hand, the teeth III and IV would cause friction in the drill hole, which would make perfect cutting impossible.
This disadvantage can be eliminated by giving the thread turns on teeth III and IV at least the same height over their entire length caused by the milling of the grooves as on the cutting edges, i.e. the rear edge of tooth III not the height -14-i1., but at least the height i14-ilg-ill- i12. The rear edge of tooth IV does not have the height i "-i, 8,
but at least the height of ilo-i2o = ils-i17. Such a correction is not necessary for teeth I and II, since there -3-i4 is greater than and i, -i, is greater than io-ilo = io-i @.
In order to achieve a thread cutter just given type, the Scha blone 1 receives a shape as it is given in Fig. 8 to. According to this figure, the template has a spirally curved conical part k which merges into a part k 'which is concentric to the axis of rotation. This concentric part k 'in turn runs back into the spirally curved part k. When using such a template, cross-sections according to FIG. 7 result for the pre-cut part v of the thread cutter.
By appropriately shaping the template, back-turning of all teeth can also easily be achieved. The template then receives the cross-section indicated in FIG. 9, for example. The front part v of the thread cutter then has the same core cross-section. The grooves% ', indicated by dots in FIGS. 10 and 11, are milled in after the thread has been cut so that the cutting edges i lie on the wave crests .
If all teeth get an undercut, the thread cutter in the Ge thread hole is missing the guide. It is therefore more expedient, as illustrated in FIGS. 10 and 12, to alternate undercut teeth h with teeth not undercut <B> h '</B>; during thread cutting, the teeth h 'that are not undercut then also act as guide teeth.
The same purpose is also achieved if the teeth h, as illustrated in Figures 11 and 13, are only on the butt; Part h "'are undercut on the flanks.
