Locomotive with a condenser and two cars. In order to achieve the greatest possible pulling force in relation to the number of drive wheels, the pressures of the drive wheels on the rails must be constant and of the greatest permissible magnitude. For this reason, for example: the variable coal and water supplies were arranged on a special tender.
In the case of a locomotive with a condenser and two cars, one of which is the steam boiler and the other the condenser and one of which is this. associated water tank, possibly under vacuum, with the condenser car containing all the drive wheels of the locomotive, fluctuations in the pressure of the drive wheels on the rails can arise because the amount of water in the condenser tank fluctuates.
If the feed water of the steam boiler is taken from this container, then there is a reduction in the amount of water in the water container and thus a reduction in the wheel pressure of the condenser wagon.
Since the amount of water in the steam boiler is about. must be kept constant is caused by the loss of water, which can result from steam leakage at shaft seals or the like, or from the fact that the operation of certain auxiliary machines, the heat conduction of the train, etc.
steam used is not exploited, a reduction in the amount of water in the liquid container and thus a reduction in the wheel pressures of the car carrying the liquid container, whereby the pulling force of the locomotive is reduced accordingly.
The invention relates to a locomotive of the type indicated above and is aimed at compensating for any losses of water in the condensate tank so that the wheel pressure of the drive wheels of the condenser car can be kept approximately constant. The invention consists in that .the water tank on the condenser car is provided with an inflow line for additional water with an auxiliary tank arranged on the tank car.
In the accompanying drawings, two with example embodiments of a locomotive executed near the invention in Figs. 1 and 2 are shown schematically. The steam boiler 3, the driver's cab 4 and the coal bunker 5 are arranged on the boiler honeycomb 1, while an air-cooled part 6 belonging to the condenser system e, the water tank 7 and the drive motor are located on the driving wheel paths 2.
In the illustrated embodiments, the drive motor consists of a steam turbine 9, from which the movement is transmitted to the drive wheels 12 in a known manner by means of the gear mechanism 10 and the Nurbelvorrich- device 11.
The two cars of the locomotive are connected in this way by means of an articulated coupling 14. that a certain ideal pivot point is obtained. The steam from the steam boiler is fed to the turbine 9 through the high-pressure steam line 13, which can be set differently with the help of a resilient, curved part or by means of an articulated coupling according to the position of the cars 1 and 2.
According to the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the exhaust steam from the turbine flows to a condenser 21, which is intended as a surface condenser in the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 Darge.
The ondensate with the cooling water is fed to the liquid container 7 through the pipe 22. From which the water is pumped by means of the pump device 23 through the pipe 24 to the air-cooled part 6 of the condenser system, where the water cools down and from where it is in turn fed through the pipe 5 to the surface condenser 21. Instead of a surface capacitor 21, any other type of capacitor can of course be used. z.
B. a Mischkon capacitor, a Stra.hlkondensator.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the ionic seal 21 is omitted and the exhaust steam from the turbine is led directly into the water tank 7, which in this case is under vacuum. The Danlpf is passed over the liquid in the container 7. In certain cases the whole amount of steam flows into the air-cooled part 6, where the steam condenses and from where the condensed water flows into the.
Liquid container flows back, while in other cases a large amount of steam see what water of the container 7 condenses. which in such a case acts as a table or steel condenser.
In both embodiments, an auxiliary container 20 is arranged on the tank car 1, and this container is connected to the container 7 through a pipeline 18, a valve 16 and the float device 17. In the illustrated embodiments, the additional container is attached under half of the steam boiler 3 in front of the furnace.
Assuming the correct driving wheel pressure is present when the water tank 7 contains such a large amount of water as corresponds to the water surface 15 shown in the drawing, and leakage or loss of steam according to the @ Värmeleitun # z causa.ch @@ a fall di , -er surface. The valve 16 opens by means of the float device 17.
This is what container 7 does, for example, the existing vacuum sucks in water through the pipeline 1.8 from the auxiliary container 20 until the water surface has again risen to the desired height. whereupon the float valve closes the water supply again. If there is no vacuum in the water container 7, water can be supplied to the same by means of a pump device or the like.
The connecting line 18 is provided with a resilient or articulated coupling between the carriages, which enables it to be bent at different angles of the "#" iTages against one another.
The feed water for the steam boiler can also be taken directly from the additional tank.
This auxiliary container 20, like other supplies, is put on your tank wagon, since the wheel pressures of the tank wagon may fluctuate without disadvantage and must fluctuate without any damage because of the variable coal supply.
The driving-wheel cart there against, which carries the liquid container, always maintains a constant wheel pressure, which in, iii, u is chosen to be as large as possible.
plan thus achieves the advantage that a constant maximum wheel pressure of the drive wheels is maintained, so that the locomotive always retains the same tractive force and can be equipped with a limited number of drive wheels. It is also possible to take the IAT water supply with you for significantly longer journeys than was previously the case, as the tank wagon can be built in such a way that the fluctuations in the amount of water in the auxiliary container 20 and consequently those of the wheel pressures remain irrelevant.
The auxiliary container 20 is under atmospheric pressure and communicates with the outside air by means of a valve. This valve is conveniently connected to the float device 1 7 in such a way that it is closed each time the auxiliary container 20 is emptied through the pipeline 18, to prevent air from being sucked into the liquid container 7.
