Device for saving fuel when operating an explosion engine. The present invention relates to a further embodiment of the device set out in the main patent for saving fuel when operating an explosion engine.
The accompanying drawing is a vertical section. Exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
The exhaust pipe a of the cylinder c passes through a housing b with a perforated jacket, so that the outside air has access to the cavity of this housing. A line d connects the housing b with the crankcase g, in which there is always a certain amount of lubricating oil. A suction line e, into which a regulator f for the flow cross section is switched, leads from the crankcase into the annular chamber kc below the transverse wall i, which divides the valve housing h attached to the cylinder upper part. Provided on the transverse wall i is a bushing m which axially penetrates the annular chamber k and serves as a guide for the valve rod n.
In addition, a small opening o is provided in the transverse wall i, through which the ring hammer 7c is connected to the upper part of the valve housing g.
The space p, in which the valve v is located, together with the directly adjoining cavity x located above the piston t, forms the explosion chamber. This space p is equipped with an ignition device q , and the pipe r coming from the carburettor is also attached to it, with the interposition of a suction valve s,
connected. On the apex of the valve housing lt is a type of lubricating device formed, provided with a shut-off Ge vat z attached, through which petrol can be admitted when starting the @ engine.
When operating the device described above, the oil in the crankcase g is constantly whipped by the rotating crank and thrown around. The mist formed from the oil particles is hit by the heated air flowing in through the housing b penetrated by the exhaust pipe a and flowing in through the line d, including the Compression strokes between the piston t and the wall of the cylinder c may be accompanied by hot gases passing through.
As a result of the heating, the oil particles are converted into a gaseous state of aggregation. During the suction strokes of the downward piston t, both the suction valve s opens, so that the fuel mixture brought about by the pipe r from the carburetor can flow into the explosion chamber, and the valve v, so that also the through line e from Oil vapor produced by the crankcase g can enter the explosion chamber. During the compression strokes of the piston, the fuel mixture and the oil vapor are then caused to explode together by the ignition device q.
When starting the engine, to enrich the fuel mixture, gasoline can be let in through the vessel provided with a shut-off device, which partly trickles down between the valve rod n and its guide and partly through the opening o the transverse wall i. into the annular chamber T k and then through channels y into the space y closed at the bottom by the valve v, from which it enters the explosion chamber when the valve is opened, where it is ignited.
From time to time during the operation of the engine, petrol can also be let in through the vessel z which, by trickling down the valve rod n, cleans it of adhering combustion products and finally, when the valve v is open, also gets into the explosion chamber.
In the suction line e, a drip catcher is advantageously switched on, the width of which exceeds that of the Leiteng somewhat, so that the oil droplets contained in the oil vapor fall out there as a result of reduced speed. The drip catcher can with. be provided with a drainage path so that the oil that has accumulated in it can be drained from time to time.
If in practice an increase in the volume of the space p should prove to be advantageous, only the seat of the valve v needs to be set back further, with a corresponding shortening of the space y above the valve seat.
