In Stellung Il sind also folgende Lampen eingeschaltet: Hilfsscheinwerfer H, Seitenwagenlampe TV, Rücklampe R.
Electric headlights for automobiles. In the known electrical lighting systems for motor vehicles, it is common to operate them from a switch mounted within reach of the driver. In some cases, switches are also provided at each individual lighting point to turn the light source on or off. For example, headlights are known in which a switch for the light source is arranged in the apex of the housing.
According to the invention, a switch is now built into the housing of a headlight of the lighting system, which atif, ') it influences the circuit of the relevant Scheiii- thrower nor circuits of other power consumers of the electrical vehicle lighting system. This arrangement is particularly intended for motorcycles in which the main headlight can easily be reached by the driver even while driving. This eliminates the need for the usual Sehaltkasten, which saves space and simplifies, and makes the whole thing cheaper. Plant brings with it.
An example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows the headlight in section; FIG. 2 illustrates the contact plate of the headlight shown in FIG. 1 with a circuit diagram of the entire lighting system for a motorcycle.
In the apex of the headlamp housing a, a key b which can be removed from the outside by means of a rotatable switch c is attached, which carries a grinding brush d isolated from the housing a that grinds on contacts of a plate e made of insulating material. The plate e is screwed to a bracket f, which is attached to the housing a.
The electric current is supplied by a battery B or a dynamo D through a line g via a clamp h, which is attached to the plate e, the grinding brush d < / B> supplied.
The terminal h is conductively connected to a grinding brush i. The brush i leads the current to the brush cl. By turning this brush 4 by means of the key b in the individual switch positions, the various lighting fixtures of the system are switched on and off. switched off.
If the brush d is in position r (Fig. 2), all consumer points are switched off. In position 11, the current flows from the dynamo D or battery B via g, h, i, d to the terminals, which are also formed as contact points k and in, from where, on the one hand, through a line p to the rear lamp R and sidecar lamp TT, 'of the motorcycle via the ground back to the battery or dynamo. On the other hand, the current also goes through a line q to an auxiliary headlight H and from there back via ground to the dynamo or battery.
In position II, the following lamps are switched on: auxiliary headlights H, sidecar lamp TV, rear lamp R.
If the grinding brush d is placed in switch position 111, the current flow is as follows. From the power source D resp. B to g, h, i,d, then to the contact points 2-, s, and from here on the one hand via a conductive bridge t to k, _p and through the lamps B and W via the ground back to the power source.
On the other hand, current also flows from the contact s via a spring it (FIG. 1) that is conductively connected to it to a pin v, which is connected to the center contact of the main headlight bulb iv, which is located in a reflector y is attached, is in electrical contact. Through this bulb the current goes back to the power source via the mass. In switching position 111, the main headlight tubes S, the side lamp TV and the rear lamp R are on.
