Height adjustment device for the ribbon fork of typewriters with visual writing. The invention relates to a height adjustment device for the color hand fork of typewriters with visible writing, in which the ribbon fork is raised when each key is pressed and is moved down again when the type lever is lowered in order to expose the writing.
In such machines, the ribbon was in one work step, i. H. as long as it is not changed in such a way that its lower edge comes to rest upwards, so far only a part of its height has been used, because the stroke of the ribbon fork, or of the tape, is always the same and the height of the character that comes to the stop is only a fraction of the height of the ribbon. In order to achieve its better utilization, the ribbon must be reversed in the manner described in the known typewriters.
The aim of the invention is to avoid the changeover and at the same time to achieve full utilization of the ribbon by making the stroke of the ribbon fork adjustable. In this way, it is also easily possible to achieve differently colored writing by changing the stroke by providing the ribbon in different parts of its height with ver different colors.
The above-mentioned aim is achieved by the invention in that an angle lever which carries the ribbon fork with one leg and is mounted at the bottom of the carriage support plate is provided with notches on its other leg, into which a push lever moved over the switching bridge with each keystroke is generated a larger or smaller fork stroke engages, depending on whether the thrust lever is set to one or the other detent by means of special adjustment rods.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject invention is Darge provides.

An auxiliary catch love i3 coupled with the angled lever? 3 :; ensures that it engages with a projection in auxiliary notches 3-1 of the bearing plate 29, the setting of the thrust lever 9 to notches 11 ..
\ If a type lever is depressed, does it transmit its movement through bridge 1, the draft pigeon? and the eccentric roller 5 on the pin 6, which consequently moves to the right in the direction of the arrow =:
in Fig.? executes and moves the thrust lever 9 to the right. so that its pin 10 pivots the rack arm 12 of the angle lever 1.1 to the right, whereby the ribbon fork 19 is raised under the mediation of the support pin 17.
When the type lever goes back, so -erden under the influence of the springs 31 and 32 of the thrust lever 9 and the angle lever 12, 1.1, and the ribbon fork moved back to its initial position.
If the handle 6 (Fig. 1) is moved upwards in the direction of the arrow, the pin 1 of the Uinkelliebels 23 lifts the push lever 9 so that its detent pin 10 successively moves into the upper installments 11 and finally into a Arrives position in which he> iber the uppermost of these notches and the notch lever arm 12 is.
When the thrust lever engages the lowest notch, the notch love 12 experiences the stylish angle deflection when the thrust lever 9 is advanced to the right, accordingly the color bar is raised to the greatest extent. -In, o that the lowest red stripe of the ribbon when the Typ peu comes into effect.
When the box pin 10 engages in a higher telegenic detent 11 corresponding to an upward movement of the handle 26 - the stroke of the color bar cnt, precheird becomes smaller, so cl:, ss the middle and upper part of the color band (both blue, on the scale 26 differentiated by "black" and ..bla:
u "marked) in 'Uirhnng.' Because finally the box pin 10 oa.nz comes to lie above the box lever 1-2 zrr, the Rasteriliebel experiences no movement at all when the thrust lever 9 is moved to the right, so the ribbon is not raised; this position, which corresponds to the color scale "white" of the setting scale 28 and the top layer of the handle 26, is used when making a large number of reproductions, eg.
B. in the Cyclostyle process, with the machine is written on a wax sheet, so the ribbon is not needed. The above-mentioned auxiliary notch lever 33 with notches 34 is used to secure the various engagement positions of the detent pin 10.
