Abstract

A capacitor couples a control signal bus to the gate terminal of a Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR). A resistor connects the gate and cathode terminals of the SCR. The cathode terminal of the SCR is connected to a control signal reference bus. A decreasing voltage appearing on the signal line causes a current to flow through the resistor and charge the capacitor. The polarity of the resulting voltage across the resistor and thereby applied between the gate and cathode terminals of the SCR, acts to inhibit noise signals from falsely triggering the SCR while the capacitor is being charged.
