Abstract

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de traitement d'un effluent et/ou de boues provenant d'un procédé de fabrication de pâte cellulosique ou d'une bande cellulosique fibreuse, telle que du papier ou du carton. L'effluent et/ou les boues se présentent sous la forme d'une suspension contenant des matières solides et/ou des particules en suspension dans une phase liquide aqueuse. Le système de traitement comprend un constituant polysaccharide cationisé soluble dans l'eau contenant de la cellulose cationisée dont la densité de charge est d'au moins 1,5 meq/g à sec, mesurée à un pH de 4, et un copolymère cationique synthétique de (méth)acrylamide et d'au moins un monomère cationique, la densité de charge du copolymère étant d'au maximum 5 meq/g.
