Abstract
The present invention is directed to methods of removing remaining root, without the need for a flap(surgery) and maintains bone and gum surrounding the tooth, especially in the interior region for aesthetic considerations, and reduces trauma to a minimum, the advantage of its mechanism, that it is controlled and applied gradually to separate the tissues slowly, we should apply the force gradually to avoid fracture of the root while rotating the nut , and the screw will be still attached to the remaining root, if we apply the force at one time that will cause disconnection between the screw and remaining root.
Description
A dental instrument for removing a remaining tooth Root Field of invention The present invention is directed to methods of removing remaining root from patient mouth without the need for surgery while reducing the trauma to a minimum and preserving the bone and gums surrounding the tooth.
Background of the invention The extraction of teeth is sometimes inevitable in dentistry, but tooth extraction is not easy as some people think, sometimes a fracture of the tooth happens and a part of tooth root remains in the socket, and dentist finds difficulty in reaching it, and reaches it only by opening the area surrounding(making a flap) , which requires to raise the gum and removing the bone over the remaining part of the root, then to remove the said remaining root and makes stitches.
This surgical procedure causes trauma and lose of tissues, especially bone and that affects the aesthetic view of the surrounding tissues.
Date Recue/Date Received 2021-07-19 Detailed Description of the Invention The screw (1): it is about 5 cm long, and its head is a polygon and is designed to receive the circular key.
The upper two thirds of it are cylindrical and the lower third is pointed and sharp to enter in the remaining tooth root.
The nut (2): A hex, round nut, designed to receive the wrench to rotate around the screw.
The metal plate (3): it has a rectangular shape, and in the middle, there is a hole from one side which allows the screw to stay in its place.
The metal plate is 3-4 mm thick and strong enough to endure the force of the nut which is caused while we apply the rotation movement to lift the remaining root which it is attached to the screw.
The circular key (4): a round metal key, its thickness about 1 cm, in the middle there is a hollow square, the square side length is equal to the length of the head of the screw, the circular key will be put on the head to rotate it and firmly pressed to force the screw to enter in the remaining root.
The wrench (5): a metal key used to surround the nut and rotate it slowly (while touching the metal plate) this rotation will force the screw to lift the remaining root which is attached to it.
The rubber band (6): two rubber bands are put on every side around the metal plate which lay on the neighbouring teeth to prevent trauma to them.

Claims (2)
1-A screw: This screw (1) characterized in that, upper two thirds of it is cylindrical and the lower one third part is sharp and pointed. The head of the screw is polygonal (quadrilateral, hexagonal...), and is smaller than the diameter of the screw, into which a circular key (4) is placed to press and then turned the screw (1) down to insert it into the remaining root.
2- A nut: the circular key (4) is removed and a nut (2) of a same size of the screw is placed and rotating the screw until it reaches 3-An elongated metal plate: which lays on other neighbouring teeth, the said metal plate (3) has rubber bands (6) on every side (we can add more, as needed), these rubber band prevent trauma to other teeth.
The said metal plate (3) characterized in that, a narrow space in the middle on one side, this space allows inserting the metal plate around the screw, so the nut (2) will be rotated until it reaches the metal plate (3), then a wrench (5) will be used slowly to rotate the nut (2), by this rotation force the remaining root will pull out gradually from its place.
We should rotate the screw (1) every 4-5 seconds to allow the tissues to separate from each other slowly and gradually.
