Abstract

Dans un mode de réalisation, un modulateur à électro-absorption reçoit une lumière optique provenant d'une source de lumière optique et délivre un signal optique modulé. Le modulateur à électro-absorption comprend une tension de polarisation utilisée pour régler une efficacité de modulation prédéterminée et une puissance de sortie du modulateur à électro-absorption. Un dispositif de commande mesure un courant photoélectrique généré par le modulateur à électro-absorption et utilise le courant photoélectrique en tant que référence pour commander automatiquement la tension de polarisation du modulateur à électro-absorption afin de maintenir l'efficacité de modulation prédéterminée et la puissance de sortie du modulateur à électro-absorption lorsqu'un changement de désaccord se produit entre le modulateur à électro-absorption et la source de lumière optique pendant toute la durée de vie des émetteurs sur la base d'un dispositif EML.
