Abstract

Gaine d'introduction (200) pour l'introduction d'un dispositif médical dans un vaisseau sanguin ayant une gaine extensible (202). La gaine a une longueur, une épaisseur et des extrémités proximale et distale. La gaine extensible présente un cadre s'étendant longitudinalement entre l'extrémité proximale et l'extrémité distale, et ayant une surface extérieure et une surface intérieure qui forme une lumière intérieure sur la longueur du cadre. Le cadre est conçu pour prendre un état déployé et un état contracté, l'état déployé formant une section transversale étendue dans la lumière pour y faire passer un dispositif médical. Le cadre a un revêtement lisse autour de la surface extérieure et des saillies s'étendant dans la lumière le long de la surface intérieure.
