Abstract
La présente invention concerne un procédé d'élimination d'ectoparasites d'un poisson dans l'eau pouvant comprendre l'administration au poisson d'un néonicotinoïde pour éliminer les ectoparasites du poisson et l'échange de l'eau comprenant le néonicotinoïde et les ectoparasites éliminés avec de l'eau de remplacement, séparant ainsi les ectoparasites éliminés et le poisson. Le procédé peut comprendre l'étape supplémentaire consistant à empêcher la libération des ectoparasites éliminés dans l'environnement, par exemple en faisant passer l'échantillon de l'eau comprenant l'ectoparasite éliminé à travers un filtre à mailles. Un néonicotinoïde peut être utilisé dans le traitement d'une infestation par un ectoparasite chez un poisson, et une composition destinée à l'utilisation dans le traitement d'une infestation par un ectoparasite chez un poisson peut comprendre un ou plusieurs ectoparasiticides, l'un desdits ectoparasiticides étant le néonicotinoïde. Le néonicotinoïde peut être l'imidaclopride. Durant l'utilisation, le régime posologique peut être sous-létal et/ou létal.
