Abstract
La présente invention concerne des procédés de séparation de billes et de cellules à partir d'un fluide hôte. Le procédé comprend l'écoulement d'un mélange contenant le fluide hôte, les billes et les cellules à travers un dispositif acoustophorétique comportant un transducteur ultrasonore comprenant un matériau piézoélectrique commandé par un signal de commande afin de créer une onde acoustique stationnaire multidimensionnelle. Un signal de commande est envoyé pour commander l'au moins un transducteur ultrasonore pour créer l'onde acoustique stationnaire multidimensionnelle. Un flux de fluide de recirculation ayant un trajet d'écoulement tangentiel est situé de façon sensiblement tangentielle à l'onde stationnaire et séparé de celle-ci par une région d'interface. Une partie des cellules traverse l'onde stationnaire, et les billes sont maintenues séparées de l'onde stationnaire dans le flux de fluide de recirculation au niveau de la région d'interface. L'invention concerne en outre un dispositif acoustophorétique comportant une entrée de réfrigérant conçue pour permettre l'entrée d'un fluide de refroidissement dans le dispositif pour refroidir le transducteur.
