Abstract

Un tamis moléculaire saturé deau dans une unité de déshydratation du gaz est régénéré. On utilise une boucle courte dans laquelle du gaz de régénération est recyclé pour être acheminé à un radiateur en amont dun réservoir en mode de régénération. Le gaz de régénération passe par le tamis moléculaire dans le réservoir pour désorber leau, ce qui régénère le tamis moléculaire. La boucle courte comprend également un condensateur, un séparateur d'eau et un compresseur. Le gaz de régénération nest pas recyclé pour être acheminé à lunité de retrait de gaz acide à lavant de linstallation, ce qui fait que le débit du gaz de régénération peut être augmenté puisquil nest pas limité par la capacité avant de linstallation. De plus, la pression du système pendant la régénération peut être réduite dans les limites de lhydraulique du système. Lutilisation de la boucle courte permet également de réduire la durée totale de la régénération. Les modes de réalisation divulgués peuvent alléger les contraintes liées à la régénération du tamis moléculaire dans les installations de gaz naturel liquéfié, de gaz propane liquéfié et de gaz cryogénique.
