Abstract

L'invention concerne en général le domaine des rouleaux forgés et la production de rouleaux forgés. Plus particulièrement, la présente invention concerne des rouleaux forgés destinés à être utilisés dans l'industrie du laminage à froid. La présente invention concerne un rouleau forgé destiné à être utilisé dans l'industrie du laminage à froid et un procédé de production d'un tel rouleau. Ledit rouleau forgé comprend une composition d'acier et une microstructure qui comprend : - de la martensite revenue présentant une teneur en austénite retenue inférieure à (<) 5 % par volume; et - un réseau de carbure eutectique ouvert présentant une teneur en carbures eutectiques inférieure à (<) 5 % par volume; le rouleau présentant: -une dureté comprise entre 780 et 840HV; et -une compression interne comprise entre -300 et -500 MPa en valeurs absolues.
