Description

8R (Eight 'IV) By Allan Schnekenburger An 8R is my exclusive design of an adaptable user-friendly musical instrument.
The pictured model was finalized under contract by La Croix Guitars, St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada and does share features with a six stringed and twelve stringed guitars.
An 8R is identified by the gauge of strings, their placement and the following tuning pattern: E, A, "0" and "d", G and "g", B, E. "D" and "d" are played in tandem, close together and are played as one string. "d" is of a lighter gauge allowing it to be tuned one full octave above "D". (see picture) "G" and "g" are in tandem, close together and are played as one string. "g" is of a lighter gauge allowing it to be tuned one full octave above "G". (see picture)
