Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé adapté pour contrôler la transmission d'un flux multimédia comprenant une pluralité d'éléments de flux consécutifs. Le procédé selon l'invention comprend l'étape consistant à obtenir (32) une description multimédia du flux multimédia, la description multimédia indiquant un élément initial de la pluralité d'éléments de flux. Une demande relative à l'élément de flux initial est envoyée (34) et une procédure de contrôle de session est initiée (36) relativement à une session. Dans la procédure de contrôle de session, le flux multimédia est associé (38) à la session. La transmission d'un élément consécutif de la pluralité d'éléments de flux est contrôlée conformément à une règle de contrôle de la session. La présente invention se rapporte d'autre part à des dispositifs et à d'autres procédés pour sa mise en uvre.
