In the holder an elevated magnet is located in the center of a recessed circular plastic cap so that it allows the edge of the coin to be depressed to lift the opposed edge away from the magnet to enable extraction. This recessed cap creates a lip that holds and protects the token in place.
To remove the token from its holder, the player uses a finger to press down one side of the token along the circumference to lever the token against the magnetic force up on the opposite side, creating an angle raised above the lip, to allow for pick up of the token, out of its holding place.
After the token has been flipped for the coin toss, the end of the broom handle can be tilted to the landing location and the magnet in the holding device will attract the token with magnetic force back in place with correct alignment and direction.
The invention solves the problem of unavailable coins required at the start of a curling game. The invention makes available a token and holding device to facilitate a coin toss and a means to pick up the token from its landing location.. We have found no other such device that solves this problem.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
As seen in Figure 1, the invention is a detachable device, comprised of two pieces, a token (1) and a token holder (2). The device is then attached to the top end of a curling broom. The device is a combination of plastic and an embedded magnet, strategically placed to hold the token in the token holder and allow for a means to pick up the token from its landing location.
An elevated magnet (4) is located in the center of a recessed circular plastic token holder (2). This recessed holder creates a lip 2A that holds and protects the token (1) in place. The elevated magnet (4) and the magnet in the token (3) are of equal diameter to align the token in proper position and direction within the token holder (2).
The magnetic poles in the token magnet (3) and the token holder magnet (4) are configured in the device to allow for the token to sit in the proper orientation in the token holder. The orientation is important as each side of the token may be used for advertising. Each side also includes graphics or markings M1 and M2 which distinguish the surfaces for the coin toss, traditionally "head" and "tail" but any discernible markings may be used.
As seen in Figure 2, to remove the token (1) from its plastic holder (2), the player uses a finger to press down along the circumference of the token (5) into the gully (8) surrounding the raised ring or boss 10 to lever the token up on the opposite side (6), creating an angle raised above the lip (7), to allow for pick up and removal of the token out of its magnetic plastic holder (2).
As seen in Figures 3 and 4, the token consists of an embedded magnet (3) in the center, surrounded by a plastic disk (1); the token holder consists of a plastic base 11 defining a raised lip (2) around the circumference of the base 11 and the raised ring 10 containing the elevated magnet 4 in the center. Both magnets 3 and 4 are required to enable a stronger bond to each other, and allow for correct position and orientation placement of the token in the token holder.
Both sides of the token contain a covering that would cover the magnets and be used for advertising. This finished token is of balanced size, shape and weight with the magnet at the center allowing a random landing of the token when thrown in the coin toss.
As seen in Figure 5, this detachable token and the token holder device are attached to the cylindrical end of a curling broom handle by a tubular sleeve 12 which is a friction fit on the handle so that the end of the handle butts up behind the base 11. This location of the coin which is directly available for the players acts to facilitate the coin toss required at the start of a curling game and a means to pick up the token from its landing location.
After the token is flipped for the coin toss, to pick up the token, the end of the broom handle with the attached device can be directed toward to token at the landing location and the magnet in the device will magnetically attract the token back into the token holder with proper configuration and orientation.
As seen in Figure 2, elevated rings 13 along the inside of the sleeve 12 of the token holder will allow a tight fit and hold on the end of the curling broom.
Dimensions of a typical Token Holder: A cylindrical shape 31mm external diameter end cap device. The circumference is 2.5mm thick. Containing a recessed hole of 25mm diameter and 6mm deep. The center of the recessed hole contains an elevated magnetic center piece 10mm in diameter and 3mm thick.
This token holder will accommodate a 24mm magnetic token. The magnets in the token and token holder are a Neodymium Disc N35 to allow for sufficient holding strength, but still allowing minimal pressure to remove the token.
Dimensions of a typical Token: A flat cylindrical shape 24mm diameter plastic token with a 10mm hole to accommodate a 10mm magnet. The token and magnet are joined together and is then covered with a thin plastic coated image over a one side representing the head of a coin and the other side representing the tail of a coin.
Figure 5 is a side elevational view of an item of sports equipment, in this case a curling broom with the placement of the token holder on the end of the broom.
