Abstract

La présente invention a pour objet des compositions et des procédés associés à l'élimination d'un gaz acide. En particulier, la présente invention a pour objet une composition et un procédé pour l'élimination d'un gaz acide présent dans un mélange de gaz au moyen d'un solvant comprenant une amine thermiquement stable et du dioxyde de carbone. Un exemple de procédé peut impliquer un procédé d'élimination d'un gaz acide comprenant la mise en contact d'un mélange de gaz contenant un gaz acide avec un solvant, le solvant comprenant une amine thermiquement stable dans une quantité comprise entre environ 3 et environ 20 moles/kg d'eau, et du dioxyde de carbone dans une quantité comprise entre environ 0,1 et environ 0,6 mole par mole d'une amine thermiquement stable.
