Abstract

L'invention porte sur un actionneur à flexion thermique, comprenant : (a) une paire de contacts électriques positionnés à une extrémité de l'actionneur ; (b) une poutre active connectée aux contacts électriques et s'étendant longitudinalement à partir des contacts, la poutre active définissant un trajet incurvé de circulation de courant entre les contacts ; et (c) une poutre passive fusionnée avec la poutre active. Lorsque l'on fait circuler un courant à travers la poutre active, la poutre active chauffe et se dilate par rapport à la poutre passive, produisant en résultat une flexion de l'actionneur. La poutre active comprend une barre chauffante résistive ayant une surface de section transversale relativement plus petite que toute autre partie du trajet de circulation de courant. Le chauffage de la poutre active est concentré dans la barre chauffante.
