Abstract
Un appareillage (100) et un procédé (400) servent au traitement des eaux usées et à lenlèvement des nutriants biologiques dans les systèmes de boues activées. Le procédé emploie des jets dentrée présentés substantiellement verticalement et orientés vers la base pour livrer les eaux usées entrantes et les boues activées recyclées dans le corps de liquide dun réacteur, dans une direction verticale vers le bas et à un emplacement juste sous la surface du corps de liquide. Un patron d'écoulement de flux du liquide circulant efficacement est ainsi établi, ainsi que lalimentation, la dispersion ou la dissolution concomitante facultative dun fluide dans le volume de corps liquide, permettant à lappareillage universel de mélanger des réacteurs anaérobies, anoxiques, aérobies et oxiques ou d'accepter dautres conditions dudit procédé dans un réacteur. Lorsquun gaz renfermant de loxygène est choisi pour la fermentation aérobie, la taille optimale des bulles de gaz est produite pour une réaction efficace avec la bactérie de digestion pour le volume du corps liquide. Le mélange efficace et lutilisation maximale de la bactérie en suspension dans le corps de liquide sont ainsi approchés, que la digestion soit menée de manière aérobie, anaérobie ou anoxique.
