Abstract

Une route est formée dune pluralité de tapis reliés ensemble de manière flexible à leurs extrémités. Les tapis sont de configuration rectangulaire pour former des sections droites de la route et de configuration trapézoïdale pour former des sections courbées. Chaque tapis comprend une plateforme plate de panneaux de bois perpendiculaires fixés à des glissières latérales à leurs extrémités. Les tapis sont attachés ensemble à leurs extrémités en chevauchant des plaques dacier plates ensemble au moyen de boulons afin de former des connexions. Les connexions ont une flexibilité suffisante pour permettre aux tapis de se conformer à un terrain inégal. Les glissières agissent comme des courbures pour empêcher un véhicule, circulant sur la route, de faire un dérapage latéral. Les tapis sont relativement légers, ce qui permet une installation manuelle.
