Abstract

L'invention concerne des procédés et des systèmes permettant de simuler de façon réaliste le vieillissement des rides du visage d'une personne à l'aide d'une image d'état neutre (aspect naturel) et d'une ou plusieurs images d'expressions (par exemple, un sourire, un froncement de sourcils, une moue, un clin d'il) qui induisent des rides. Les images neutres et d'expression sont traitées pour simuler un vieillissement des rides par superposition des rides qui sont visibles dans l'image d'expression sur l'image neutre, pour ainsi générer une image simulée avec des rides vieillies. De façon avantageuse, les propres données histologiques de rides d'une personne sont utilisées, pour ainsi donner une simulation du vieillissement des rides précise et réaliste. De manière similaire, l'image neutre est traitée pour éliminer toutes les rides visibles et générer ainsi une image de simulation avec des rides rajeunies. De plus, un mélange d'une image neutre avec une image de simulation vieillie ou rajeunie est décrit, le degré de mélange étant basé sur une modélisation statistique d'état de la peau avec l'âge et/ou du résultat attendu d'un type de traitement particulier. Les procédés et systèmes décrits ont une large gamme d'application, incluant par exemple des domaines tels que la dermatologie, la cosmétique et l'animation par ordinateur, entre autres.
