Abstract
La présente invention concerne un spectromètre de masse comportant un analyseur de masse à temps de vol de l'accélération orthogonale. Une impulsion ou un paquets d'ions est libéré(e) soit à partir d'une piège à ions (7) soit à partir d'un guide d'ions ionique par ondes en amont d'une électrode d'accélération orthogonale (2) formant partie de l'analyseur de masse de temps de vol d'accélération orthogonale. Des ions dans l'impulsion ou le paquet d'ions qui est libéré(e) sont dispersés dans le temps et l'électrode d'accélération orthogonale (2) est excitée plusieurs fois préalablement à la libération d'une impulsion ou d'un paquet d'ions ultérieur(e).
