Abstract
The invention relates to a safety brace (100) for limiting the mobility of a patient lying in bed, or for positioning a patient on a bed with a harness (59) to which a body belt (64), which goes around the body of the patient in the stomach area, is movably connected. In order to improve the safety brace (100) in such a way that a patient cannot remove the upper leg sleeve of the safety brace (100) without assistance and without greatly constricting the patient, the invention suggests that the safety brace (100) is supplemented with at least one material surface (11), particularly a rectangular material surface, which extends transversally across the bed, wherein the surface (11) facilitates the secure attachment of attachment elements such as a shoulder harness and upper leg harness and/or the secure attachment of straps which facilitate the removable attachment of attachment elements such as a shoulder harness and upper leg harness.
Description
SAFETY BANDAGE WITH A SAFETY LOOP
DESCRIPTION
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention relates to a safety bandage for limiting the mobility of a patient lying on a support, or for positioning a patient on a support, comprising a retaining strap to which a body strap enclosing the patient's body in the abdominal area is movably connected.
PRIOR ART
Such safety bandages are known and familiar to the person skilled in the art in very diverse embodiments and are described, for example, in DE 296 01 701.
With the body strap slung around the abdominal region of the patient, the mobility of the patient is restricted insofar as he cannot leave the couch to which the body strap is fastened by means of a retaining strap against the wishes of the supervisory person. In order to fix the body strap relative to the body of the patient thereon, without needing to tighten the body strap too tightly, which could result in impairment of the respiratory breathing of the patient, it is known from DE 203 17 701 Ui to provide additional thigh cuffs on the body strap or the safety bandage by means of leg fixture strap aligned transversely thereto. In this case, each of the two thighs of the patients are encompassed by one of the thigh cuffs assigned thereto, which are provided with suitable closure means for adjusting to the thigh circumference of the patient. These thigh cuffs ensure that the patient can neither intentionally nor unintentionally wriggle downwards out of the safety bandage or its body strap and leave the support, for example, a bed or a specially provided patient trolley.
DESCRIPTION
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention relates to a safety bandage for limiting the mobility of a patient lying on a support, or for positioning a patient on a support, comprising a retaining strap to which a body strap enclosing the patient's body in the abdominal area is movably connected.
PRIOR ART
Such safety bandages are known and familiar to the person skilled in the art in very diverse embodiments and are described, for example, in DE 296 01 701.
With the body strap slung around the abdominal region of the patient, the mobility of the patient is restricted insofar as he cannot leave the couch to which the body strap is fastened by means of a retaining strap against the wishes of the supervisory person. In order to fix the body strap relative to the body of the patient thereon, without needing to tighten the body strap too tightly, which could result in impairment of the respiratory breathing of the patient, it is known from DE 203 17 701 Ui to provide additional thigh cuffs on the body strap or the safety bandage by means of leg fixture strap aligned transversely thereto. In this case, each of the two thighs of the patients are encompassed by one of the thigh cuffs assigned thereto, which are provided with suitable closure means for adjusting to the thigh circumference of the patient. These thigh cuffs ensure that the patient can neither intentionally nor unintentionally wriggle downwards out of the safety bandage or its body strap and leave the support, for example, a bed or a specially provided patient trolley.
Alternatively or additionally, a strap can be provided which runs transversely to the body strap through the crotch of the patient. However, this can lead to crushing of the patient's genitals if an attempt is made to wriggle out of the strap. Likewise, self-strangulation of the patient with this strap is not excluded.
However, in the case of such safety bandages with leg fixture and thigh cuffs, it is possible that a particularly an agile patient can draw his knee towards the upper body so that the relative distance between the body strap and the thigh cuffs is reduced. With the knees drawn up, the patient can therefore slip the thigh cuffs over his knee since the leg fixture straps are loose.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION, OBJECT, SOLUTION, ADVANTAGES
It is therefore the object of the invention to improve a generic safety bandage in such a manner that a patient cannot independently slip off the thigh cuffs without excessively constricting him, in particular, any lateral pulling or turning of the thigh cuffs so as to be able to slip them off should be prevented without the institutions entrusted with accommodating and caring for the patient needing to purchase anew complete fixing bandages but only needing to supplement these with the retrofit kit described in the following using already provided SEGUFIX body straps.
This object is achieved by the features of claim 1.
The basic idea of the invention is that sufficiently large and broad surfaces are attached fixedly or detachably to a safety bandage for the attachment of further fixing elements, for which consideration is initially given to shoulder and/or thigh retainers in very diverse embodiments, but also to loops for detachable attachment of other fixing elements which, for safety reasons, should only be fixedly attached by the person skilled in the art, preferably by the manufacturer. In the terminology used here such objects are designated as fixing means which serve to fix the patient on the couch.
This material surface can be attached at various positions on the safety bandage. It is also possible for a plurality of material surfaces to be located on the safety bandage.
It is therefore advantageous if at least one material surface is fixedly or detachably connected to this above the body strap and/or below the retaining strap and/or between body strap and retaining strap.
A practical variant of the invention provides that the surface is part of the safety loop which is placed over the body strap and the retaining strap, wherein the safety loop is provided with the surface on one side at the head or foot end or on both sides at the head and foot end of the patient, on which surface fixing elements and/or loops are fixedly attached, the loops serving for detachable attachment of fixing means.
After attaching the bed retainers of the body belt to the couch and closing the body belt, the safety loop is connected to the safety bandage in such a manner that the patient cannot remove the safety loop and therefore the fixing elements fastened thereon or fastening means for detachable attachment of further means. Such a combination of safety loop and further fixing elements attached thereto, especially shoulder and/or thigh retainers, allows the care institutions to economically replace or upgrade existing safety bandages which possibly expose the patents to a risk due to strangulation or genital crushing so that the patient can be accommodated free from danger. Another advantage of this invention is that the turning mobility of the patient which has now become too great because of the deteriorating care situation with the belt-like strap holding together the body and retaining strap, and which must be restricted with obligatory side fastenings, can be restricted merely by the safety loop according to the invention, in particular if this is secured against slipping or is fixedly connected to body and/or retaining strap.
The core element, the safety loop, consists in practice of approx. 36 cm wide strap material, or material of different width which is joined to a safety loop in such a manner, in particular is sewn together, that a safety bandage can be encompassed and at its one end a flat stamping is formed which provides sufficient space to fixedly attach further fixing elements thereto and/or to fixedly attach loops thereto, which serve for the detachable attachment of fixing elements. Then, possibly a shoulder or a thigh retainer could be attached as desired. At the same time, when the loop is placed over the safety bandage, the surface can be aligned towards the head or foot end so that the attachment in particular of shoulder or thigh retainers but also optionally of other fixing means or loops for their detachable attachment is appropriate.
Such a safety loop can be formed in an annular shape from one piece in such a manner that one end projects over the other end, thus forming a surface formed from single-layer material for subsequent attachment of further fixing elements and/or loops for fixing elements.
The ends of such a safety loop formed in an annular shape from one piece can, however, also be sewn together flush, thus forming a surface formed from double-layer material for subsequent attachment of further fixing elements and/or loops for fixing elements.
However, in the case of such safety bandages with leg fixture and thigh cuffs, it is possible that a particularly an agile patient can draw his knee towards the upper body so that the relative distance between the body strap and the thigh cuffs is reduced. With the knees drawn up, the patient can therefore slip the thigh cuffs over his knee since the leg fixture straps are loose.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION, OBJECT, SOLUTION, ADVANTAGES

In the terminology used here such objects are designated as fixing means which serve to fix the patient on the couch.
This material surface can be attached at various positions on the safety bandage. It is also possible for a plurality of material surfaces to be located on the safety bandage.
It is therefore advantageous if at least one material surface is fixedly or detachably connected to this above the body strap and/or below the retaining strap and/or between body strap and retaining strap.
A practical variant of the invention provides that the surface is part of the safety loop which is placed over the body strap and the retaining strap, wherein the safety loop is provided with the surface on one side at the head or foot end or on both sides at the head and foot end of the patient, on which surface fixing elements and/or loops are fixedly attached, the loops serving for detachable attachment of fixing means.
After attaching the bed retainers of the body belt to the couch and closing the body belt, the safety loop is connected to the safety bandage in such a manner that the patient cannot remove the safety loop and therefore the fixing elements fastened thereon or fastening means for detachable attachment of further means. Such a combination of safety loop and further fixing elements attached thereto, especially shoulder and/or thigh retainers, allows the care institutions to economically replace or upgrade existing safety bandages which possibly expose the patents to a risk due to strangulation or genital crushing so that the patient can be accommodated free from danger. Another advantage of this invention is that the turning mobility of the patient which has now become too great because of the deteriorating care situation with the belt-like strap holding together the body and retaining strap, and which must be restricted with obligatory side fastenings, can be restricted merely by the safety loop according to the invention, in particular if this is secured against slipping or is fixedly connected to body and/or retaining strap.

The ends of such a safety loop formed in an annular shape from one piece can, however, also be sewn together flush, thus forming a surface formed from double-layer material for subsequent attachment of further fixing elements and/or loops for fixing elements.
Another feasible variant would be that this is sewn together outside the surface, i.e., not at the edge but more towards the centre, possibly outside the surfaces.
The safety loop can also be configured in such a manner that a flat stamping is formed both at the upper and at the lower end, which both provide sufficient space to attach further fixing elements fixedly and/or loops for detachable attachment of further fixing elements. In this case, the safety loop is closed as in the above variations. Then both a shoulder and a thigh retainer can be attached, which is usually the case with the safety loop.
An advantageous embodiment of such a safety loop is designed in such a manner that this is not sewn together from one piece to form a ring but rather from two preferably rectangular pieces. The advantage of this advantageous embodiment is primarily that the upper and lower end of the safety loop need not be bent to fasten further fixing elements.
In addition, production is simplified in that sewing can be carried out completely from outside. For the application it is advantageous if the shaping of the safety loop corresponds more to that of a flat safety bandage.
In this case, it is initially intended that these two pieces are joined flush to one another, preferably sewn together so that two double-layers surfaces are formed for subsequent attachment of further fixing elements and/or loops for fixing elements.
An advantageous embodiment of the safety loop consists in that only one of the pieces is sufficiently long and forms a surface so that fixing means can be attached thereon. The other piece can be kept as short as is required for sewing to the other piece to ensure the loop function, thus saving material and sewing work, since in most cases double-layered material is not required. As a result of its main application to upgrade safety bandages of the type SEGUFIX
Standard currently in use, which has two small loops on its body strap for further use for detachable attachment of a shoulder retainer, an advantageous embodiment of the safety loop is configured in such a manner that this only has one surface and on its opposite side two slots are provided through which the loops of the safety bandage are inserted, these being intended for the detachable attachment of a shoulder retainer. A thigh retainer is preferably fixedly attached to the surface or detachably attached by means of fixedly attached loops.
Edging strip which encloses the edges is preferably sewn on to protect the edges, especially those at the interfaces.
The safety loop formed in one piece can comprise a lower half which is broadened compared with an upper half of the safety loop.
A further advantageous embodiment provides that the safety loop is provided with oblong holes through which the ends of the retaining strap and/or body strap can be placed, thus securing the safety loop against slipping along the safety bandage.
In this case, it is sufficient to provide the lower of the two pieces forming the safety loop with an oblong hole on the right and left.
Alternatively the upper of the two pieces forming the safety loop can be provided with an oblong hole on the right and left.
The safety loop can also be configured in such a manner that a flat stamping is formed both at the upper and at the lower end, which both provide sufficient space to attach further fixing elements fixedly and/or loops for detachable attachment of further fixing elements. In this case, the safety loop is closed as in the above variations. Then both a shoulder and a thigh retainer can be attached, which is usually the case with the safety loop.
An advantageous embodiment of such a safety loop is designed in such a manner that this is not sewn together from one piece to form a ring but rather from two preferably rectangular pieces. The advantage of this advantageous embodiment is primarily that the upper and lower end of the safety loop need not be bent to fasten further fixing elements.
In addition, production is simplified in that sewing can be carried out completely from outside. For the application it is advantageous if the shaping of the safety loop corresponds more to that of a flat safety bandage.
In this case, it is initially intended that these two pieces are joined flush to one another, preferably sewn together so that two double-layers surfaces are formed for subsequent attachment of further fixing elements and/or loops for fixing elements.
An advantageous embodiment of the safety loop consists in that only one of the pieces is sufficiently long and forms a surface so that fixing means can be attached thereon. The other piece can be kept as short as is required for sewing to the other piece to ensure the loop function, thus saving material and sewing work, since in most cases double-layered material is not required. As a result of its main application to upgrade safety bandages of the type SEGUFIX

A further advantageous embodiment provides that the safety loop is provided with oblong holes through which the ends of the retaining strap and/or body strap can be placed, thus securing the safety loop against slipping along the safety bandage.
In this case, it is sufficient to provide the lower of the two pieces forming the safety loop with an oblong hole on the right and left.
Alternatively the upper of the two pieces forming the safety loop can be provided with an oblong hole on the right and left.
It is likewise provided that both the lower and the upper of the two pieces forming the safety loop are provided with an oblong holes on the right and left.
A more advantageous embodiment compared to this provides that the lower piece is broadened towards the couch edge in such a manner that it can be secured against slipping in the direction transverse to the couch. This simultaneously ensures that the safety loop largely prevents the turning mobility made possible by the strap-like belts holding together the body and retaining strap without side fastening, that is without side fastenings being necessary which the user could anyway forget to attach.
This can be accomplished in such a manner that eyelets and oblong holes are attached to the outermost edges of the lower piece through which the bed retainers of the retaining strap are placed in such a manner that these run at the edge under the lower piece of the safety strap so that eyelets can be placed on the locks of the bed retainer of the retaining strap, which secures the safety loop against slipping on the safety bandage.
However, the lower piece can also be provided with such oblong holes that the retaining strap is placed through the inner wide oblong hole so that from there it runs below the lower piece of the safety loop so that the bed retainer of the retaining strap is then placed through the narrower outer oblong hole through which only the narrow bed retainer fits, but not the wider retaining strap, which secures the safety loop against slipping in the direction transverse to the couch.
For this purpose it is appropriate to stiffen the retaining strap with non-bendable inserts at its ends so that the retaining strap cannot be forcibly pushed through one of the outer oblong holes.
A more advantageous embodiment compared to this provides that the lower piece is broadened towards the couch edge in such a manner that it can be secured against slipping in the direction transverse to the couch. This simultaneously ensures that the safety loop largely prevents the turning mobility made possible by the strap-like belts holding together the body and retaining strap without side fastening, that is without side fastenings being necessary which the user could anyway forget to attach.
This can be accomplished in such a manner that eyelets and oblong holes are attached to the outermost edges of the lower piece through which the bed retainers of the retaining strap are placed in such a manner that these run at the edge under the lower piece of the safety strap so that eyelets can be placed on the locks of the bed retainer of the retaining strap, which secures the safety loop against slipping on the safety bandage.
However, the lower piece can also be provided with such oblong holes that the retaining strap is placed through the inner wide oblong hole so that from there it runs below the lower piece of the safety loop so that the bed retainer of the retaining strap is then placed through the narrower outer oblong hole through which only the narrow bed retainer fits, but not the wider retaining strap, which secures the safety loop against slipping in the direction transverse to the couch.
For this purpose it is appropriate to stiffen the retaining strap with non-bendable inserts at its ends so that the retaining strap cannot be forcibly pushed through one of the outer oblong holes.
In this context, it is advantageous to secure the seams at the flat inner ends with inner tabs in such a manner that a piece of material lies between upper and lower end, which has the result that under loading not merely the innermost thread row of a seam of the safety loop is primarily stressed by the body strap when pulling on the shoulder or thigh retainer fastened to the safety loop but the force is rather distributed to the thread rows of all the seams and the interposed adhesive friction surfaces of the inner tab.
It is more advantageous if the seams at the flat inner ends are secured with tabs for seam securing in such a manner that respectively the upper and lower end is connected to a material piece, which has the result that under loading when pulling on the shoulder or thigh retainer fastened to the safety loop, not merely the innermost thread row of a seam of the loop is primarily stressed by the body strap but the forces are rather distributed to the thread rows of all the seams and the interposed adhesive friction surfaces of the outer tab. The major advantage of this design is that the force is distributed to all the seams and interposed adhesive friction surfaces formed by them even when an attempt is made to tear the ends of the safety loop which have been sewn together from one another.
In this case, the end pieces of one piece can be inwardly inverted with the result that this piece itself takes over the tab function.
The seams of this advantageous embodiment could in turn be secured with tabs for seam securing which then lie outside.
Furthermore, one or both pieces can be made from a non-bendable or barely bendable material so that the body strap is given a more stable mounting inside the safety loop.
It is more advantageous if the seams at the flat inner ends are secured with tabs for seam securing in such a manner that respectively the upper and lower end is connected to a material piece, which has the result that under loading when pulling on the shoulder or thigh retainer fastened to the safety loop, not merely the innermost thread row of a seam of the loop is primarily stressed by the body strap but the forces are rather distributed to the thread rows of all the seams and the interposed adhesive friction surfaces of the outer tab. The major advantage of this design is that the force is distributed to all the seams and interposed adhesive friction surfaces formed by them even when an attempt is made to tear the ends of the safety loop which have been sewn together from one another.
In this case, the end pieces of one piece can be inwardly inverted with the result that this piece itself takes over the tab function.
The seams of this advantageous embodiment could in turn be secured with tabs for seam securing which then lie outside.
Furthermore, one or both pieces can be made from a non-bendable or barely bendable material so that the body strap is given a more stable mounting inside the safety loop.
In this case, it is recommended that the two pieces are joined with rivets.
Alternatively, a non-bendable or only barely bendable material, which is naturally less skin-friendly, can be sewn into the safety loop in such a manner that this material does not come in contact with the patient.
For detachable attachment of further fixing elements, further loops can be attached to the upper and/or lower surfaces of the safety loop.
Alternatively, the fixing elements can also be attached directly to the surfaces of the safety loop or however, also directly to the safety loop.
In order to prevent escaping of the patient to the top, the shoulder retainer is detachably attached to the upper end of the safety loop.
It is also included within the scope of the invention that the shoulder retainer is fixedly attached to the safety loop.
At the same time, pairs of loops for attaching further bed connecting straps, waist straps or other straps can be attached to the rearward shoulder straps.
Such straps can also be fixedly connected to the shoulder straps.
The shoulder retainer connected fixedly or detachably to the safety loop can be configured in such a manner that both ends of the waist strap in each case with both shoulder straps, these in turn connecting one another, are detachably connected to one another, with the result that these waist strap ends locked on the two shoulder straps have a more secure hold compared with shoulder retainers having one waist strap end on one side merely movably inserted through a loop of the shoulder strap. For this purpose, eyelets are located at the ends of the waist strap and lock receptacles are located on the shoulder straps.
Furthermore, for the same reason thigh cuffs are attached at the lower end of the safety loop by means of leg fixture straps detachably attached to the safety loop.
It is included within the scope of the invention that the leg fixture straps are attached fixedly to the safety loop.
It is furthermore advantageous if the thigh cuffs are connected to one another by means of a cross-piece in order to make it additionally difficult for a patient to escape by preventing the legs from moving laterally apart.
In order to effectively prevent sliding off of the thigh cuffs, two longitudinal straps connecting the thigh cuffs to the body strap were also required.
These are sewn firmly to the thigh cuffs or provided with eyelets and thus to be attached detachably. A loop at the end of the longitudinal strap is also feasible, which can be placed above the thigh cuff for detachable connection.
The end to be attached detachably to the body strap can be provided with eyelets to fasten it to the belt locks made by SEGUFIX, which are located on the body strap, or with loops to place these over the ends of the body strap before the body strap is closed, on the loops possibly with eyelets in order to secure against lateral slipping with SEGUFIX belt locks located on the body strap.
The longitudinal strap can also be fixedly connected to the respective ends of the body strap and/or to the thigh cuffs at a position to be determined by the person skilled in the art.
Additional security against lateral slippage and thus against slipping off the thigh cuffs is ensured by the long cross-piece connecting the longitudinal straps with the leg fixture strap located thereabove in each case and these in turn to one another.
The last security is a flat or arrangement-dependent surface function of the space between safety loop according to the invention, leg fixture straps and cross-pieces so that the patient cannot slip through between the leg fixture straps in conjunction with a shoulder retainer.
Thus, the shoulder retainer ensures that the patient cannot twist upwards out of the safety bandage, the thigh cuffs in turn that the patient cannot twist downwards, the advantage of this invention residing in the fact that the patient's genitals cannot be squashed since the crotch loop otherwise required to prevent slipping downwards in the safety bandages from the prior art is not required. Also the thigh cuffs to be applied tightly but not fixedly ensure that the patient is securely held in the safety strap since these hold the patient firmly and nevertheless go with the patient's movements.
So that the patient cannot slip off the thigh retainers, a material surface is required between safety loop, leg fixture straps and cross-pieces so that the patient cannot slip out between the leg fixture straps.
For example, if the patients draws up a leg to be able to slip off its thigh cuff, the material surface has the effect that this pulling up or bending is only possible to a certain extent since by means of the material surface or the cross-piece to which the two thigh cuffs are attached, the other leg is also drawn towards the body by means of the material surface or the other cross-piece. However, if both legs are drawn up simultaneously, slipping off the thigh cuffs is not possible since when the legs are drawn up, the shoulder retainer exerts a gentle pressure on the thigh and the patient's buttocks via the material surface and thereby enlarges the distance of the thigh cuffs from the knees as it were in a self-regulating manner, which is equivalent to a self-regulating spacing function. In this case, the material surface must be selected to be sufficiently wide so that the patient's buttocks cannot slip past this to avoid the self-regulating mechanism.
A further advantageous embodiment of the invention consists in that the thigh retainer is provided with its own bed connecting strap so that this can be additionally fastened to the couch, which prevents the patient twisting in the vertical axis.
The connecting strap on the thigh retainer can also be provided with eyelets and dimensioned in such a manner that its free ends can be fastened to the belt locks of the body strap. The patient is thus prevented from turning about the vertical axis but has more freedom of movement with the legs or thighs.
Instead of eyelets, the bed retainers of the thigh retainer can also be connected to the bed retainers of the retaining strap in such a manner that at the ends of the bed retainers of the thigh cuffs, respectively one loop is attached through which the bed retainer of the retaining strap is inserted before it is fastened to the bed frame.
It is also provided to fixedly connect the bed retainers of the thigh retainer without further closure means directly to the bed retainers of the retaining strap or to the retaining strap itself, possibly by sewing or riveting.
Alternatively, a non-bendable or only barely bendable material, which is naturally less skin-friendly, can be sewn into the safety loop in such a manner that this material does not come in contact with the patient.
For detachable attachment of further fixing elements, further loops can be attached to the upper and/or lower surfaces of the safety loop.
Alternatively, the fixing elements can also be attached directly to the surfaces of the safety loop or however, also directly to the safety loop.
In order to prevent escaping of the patient to the top, the shoulder retainer is detachably attached to the upper end of the safety loop.
It is also included within the scope of the invention that the shoulder retainer is fixedly attached to the safety loop.
At the same time, pairs of loops for attaching further bed connecting straps, waist straps or other straps can be attached to the rearward shoulder straps.
Such straps can also be fixedly connected to the shoulder straps.
The shoulder retainer connected fixedly or detachably to the safety loop can be configured in such a manner that both ends of the waist strap in each case with both shoulder straps, these in turn connecting one another, are detachably connected to one another, with the result that these waist strap ends locked on the two shoulder straps have a more secure hold compared with shoulder retainers having one waist strap end on one side merely movably inserted through a loop of the shoulder strap. For this purpose, eyelets are located at the ends of the waist strap and lock receptacles are located on the shoulder straps.
Furthermore, for the same reason thigh cuffs are attached at the lower end of the safety loop by means of leg fixture straps detachably attached to the safety loop.
It is included within the scope of the invention that the leg fixture straps are attached fixedly to the safety loop.
It is furthermore advantageous if the thigh cuffs are connected to one another by means of a cross-piece in order to make it additionally difficult for a patient to escape by preventing the legs from moving laterally apart.
In order to effectively prevent sliding off of the thigh cuffs, two longitudinal straps connecting the thigh cuffs to the body strap were also required.
These are sewn firmly to the thigh cuffs or provided with eyelets and thus to be attached detachably. A loop at the end of the longitudinal strap is also feasible, which can be placed above the thigh cuff for detachable connection.
The end to be attached detachably to the body strap can be provided with eyelets to fasten it to the belt locks made by SEGUFIX, which are located on the body strap, or with loops to place these over the ends of the body strap before the body strap is closed, on the loops possibly with eyelets in order to secure against lateral slipping with SEGUFIX belt locks located on the body strap.
The longitudinal strap can also be fixedly connected to the respective ends of the body strap and/or to the thigh cuffs at a position to be determined by the person skilled in the art.
Additional security against lateral slippage and thus against slipping off the thigh cuffs is ensured by the long cross-piece connecting the longitudinal straps with the leg fixture strap located thereabove in each case and these in turn to one another.
The last security is a flat or arrangement-dependent surface function of the space between safety loop according to the invention, leg fixture straps and cross-pieces so that the patient cannot slip through between the leg fixture straps in conjunction with a shoulder retainer.
Thus, the shoulder retainer ensures that the patient cannot twist upwards out of the safety bandage, the thigh cuffs in turn that the patient cannot twist downwards, the advantage of this invention residing in the fact that the patient's genitals cannot be squashed since the crotch loop otherwise required to prevent slipping downwards in the safety bandages from the prior art is not required. Also the thigh cuffs to be applied tightly but not fixedly ensure that the patient is securely held in the safety strap since these hold the patient firmly and nevertheless go with the patient's movements.
So that the patient cannot slip off the thigh retainers, a material surface is required between safety loop, leg fixture straps and cross-pieces so that the patient cannot slip out between the leg fixture straps.
For example, if the patients draws up a leg to be able to slip off its thigh cuff, the material surface has the effect that this pulling up or bending is only possible to a certain extent since by means of the material surface or the cross-piece to which the two thigh cuffs are attached, the other leg is also drawn towards the body by means of the material surface or the other cross-piece. However, if both legs are drawn up simultaneously, slipping off the thigh cuffs is not possible since when the legs are drawn up, the shoulder retainer exerts a gentle pressure on the thigh and the patient's buttocks via the material surface and thereby enlarges the distance of the thigh cuffs from the knees as it were in a self-regulating manner, which is equivalent to a self-regulating spacing function. In this case, the material surface must be selected to be sufficiently wide so that the patient's buttocks cannot slip past this to avoid the self-regulating mechanism.
A further advantageous embodiment of the invention consists in that the thigh retainer is provided with its own bed connecting strap so that this can be additionally fastened to the couch, which prevents the patient twisting in the vertical axis.
The connecting strap on the thigh retainer can also be provided with eyelets and dimensioned in such a manner that its free ends can be fastened to the belt locks of the body strap. The patient is thus prevented from turning about the vertical axis but has more freedom of movement with the legs or thighs.
Instead of eyelets, the bed retainers of the thigh retainer can also be connected to the bed retainers of the retaining strap in such a manner that at the ends of the bed retainers of the thigh cuffs, respectively one loop is attached through which the bed retainer of the retaining strap is inserted before it is fastened to the bed frame.
It is also provided to fixedly connect the bed retainers of the thigh retainer without further closure means directly to the bed retainers of the retaining strap or to the retaining strap itself, possibly by sewing or riveting.
It is also within the scope of the invention that the shoulder and thigh retainer in any combination are attached jointly or alone on the safety loop detachably, fixedly or detachably and fixedly.
From the original intended use of the safety loop to upgrade SEGUFIX body bandages to form a hazard-free safety bandage even under deteriorating care conditions, a shoulder retainer is attached fixedly or detachably at one end and a thigh retainer is attached fixedly or detachable at the other end.
It is also within the scope of the invention that the safety loop can be fixedly connected to the safety bandage, possibly sewn or riveted, which should only be undertaken by the manufacturer for safety reasons.
In this case, the strap-like belts connecting the retaining strap and body strap which have then become unnecessary can be removed in order to fixedly connect body strap, retaining strap and safety loop to one another. Thus, a rigid fixing restraint would be achieved with a sufficiently wide choice of connecting point between body strap and retaining strap, which at the same time ensures that the turning mobility made possible by the loop-like belts holding together the body and retaining strap is largely prevented, that is without lateral fastenings being necessary, which could be forgotten to be attached in any case.
In order to retain the function of the belts, it is feasible to fixedly connect only the upper piece of the safety loop to the body strap.
Likewise, the lower piece of the safety loop can be fixedly connected only to the retaining strap.
From the original intended use of the safety loop to upgrade SEGUFIX body bandages to form a hazard-free safety bandage even under deteriorating care conditions, a shoulder retainer is attached fixedly or detachably at one end and a thigh retainer is attached fixedly or detachable at the other end.
It is also within the scope of the invention that the safety loop can be fixedly connected to the safety bandage, possibly sewn or riveted, which should only be undertaken by the manufacturer for safety reasons.
In this case, the strap-like belts connecting the retaining strap and body strap which have then become unnecessary can be removed in order to fixedly connect body strap, retaining strap and safety loop to one another. Thus, a rigid fixing restraint would be achieved with a sufficiently wide choice of connecting point between body strap and retaining strap, which at the same time ensures that the turning mobility made possible by the loop-like belts holding together the body and retaining strap is largely prevented, that is without lateral fastenings being necessary, which could be forgotten to be attached in any case.
In order to retain the function of the belts, it is feasible to fixedly connect only the upper piece of the safety loop to the body strap.
Likewise, the lower piece of the safety loop can be fixedly connected only to the retaining strap.
It is also within the scope of the invention that not the material surface and/or the safety loop as a whole but only one of the pieces, omitting the other piece, is sewn on the body strap, between body trap and retaining strap or under the retaining strap omitting or retaining the strap-like belts holding together body strap and retaining strap. The one piece is sufficiently long so that fixing means and/or loops for the detachable attachment of fixing means can be attached at its one lower or one upper or both ends.
The retrofitting possibilities described above can also be undertaken directly by the manufacturer in the course of new production. Then it is no longer necessary for the user to send safety bandages present on his premises back to the manufacturer or an accredited specialist firm for retrofitting but he obtains a product satisfying the current safety requirements directly from the manufacturer.
For closure of the fixing means to be attached to the safety loop with eyelets and related lock receptacles, SEGUFIX belt locks are particularly suitable and are exclusively recommended for compatibility reasons and consequences under liability law possibly arising from medicinal product law on the operator's side.
In addition to SEGUFIX belt locks, Velcro closures, belt buckles and the like are also suitable for closure of the fixing means to be attached to the safety loop depending on the patient's condition.
In addition, the invention provides a retrofit kit for the safety bandage in which the retaining strap to which the body strap enclosing the patient's body in the abdominal area is movably connected, comprising at least one additional material surface, in particular an additional rectangular material surface, which extends in the transverse direction of the couch, wherein the surface is used for fixed attachment of fixing means such as shoulder retainer and thigh retainer and/or for fixed attachment of loops which are used for the detachable attachment of fixing means such as shoulder retainer and thigh retainer.
The safety loop of the retrofit kit is thereby configured according to one of claims 2 to 49.

The safety loop of the retrofit kit is thereby configured according to one of claims 2 to 49.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Figure 1 shows a safety loop according to the invention, which is provided with the reference numeral 10.
The annularly configured safety loop 10 has surfaces 11 for the fixed attachment of loops and/or fixing means. It can be seen in the section that the strap forming the safety loop 10 is sewn firmly at a position 21 overlapping the two ends of the strap. A bend 13 runs on both sides of the loop 10, which forms the termination of the surface 11 formed by sewing together the safety loop 10 at its ends.
Figure 2 shows a safety loop 10 sewn together from two preferably rectangularly shaped pieces 14 and 15 with surfaces 11 for the fixed attachment of loops and/or fixing means. It can be seen in the section that the pieces 14, 15 forming the safety loop 10 are sewn together at their two ends, each forming the surface 11. The inner seam points of the safety loop 10 are each secured with a block-like and a tab-like inner tab 16, 17 for seam securing. In addition, loops 70 and loops 71, not visible in the section, are attached at the surfaces 11 for detachable attachment of further fixing means or straps.
Figure 3 shows the safety loop 10 of the safety restrain 100 combined with a shoulder bandage, the waist belt ends 28 and 29 whereof are passed through the loops 70 and 71 of the safety loop 10 fixedly attached to the upper surface 11, and which are thus detachably attached, as well as two thigh cuffs 50 fixedly attached to the lower surface 11 via the leg fixture straps 56 and 57, complete with longitudinal straps 52 fixedly attached to the body strap 64 and cross-pieces 53, 54 and 55. The straps forming a "substructure" under the body strap 64 and safety loop 10 are disposed in such a manner that the patient cannot slip through between the leg fixture strap 56 and 57 nor release the thigh cuffs 50 laterally to a sufficient extent to slip off the thigh cuffs 50 so that the patient is protected from slipping downwards with the risk of strangulation without a genital-crushing crotch loop being necessary.
Furthermore, bed retainers 62 with a sufficiently large number of eyelets 66 are attached to the thigh cuffs so that the bed retainers 62 can optionally be fastened to the couch with a belt lock 25 located in its own pocket 31 or with one of the eyelets 66 on the belt lock 25 located in the pocket 32 of the bed retainer 63 of the retaining strap 59. The detachable variant of the "substructure" with thigh cuffs, not shown here, would be configured in such a manner that two further loops 70, 71 are attached at the lower end of the safety loop 10, through which passes a bed connecting strap for connection to the couch to which the leg fixture strap 56 and 57 are fixedly attached. The longitudinal strap 52 would in turn be attached detachably to the body strap 64.
Figure 4 shows an annularly shaped safety loop 10 with surfaces 11 for fixed attachment of loops and/or fixing means. It can be seen in the section that the safety loop is sewn firmly at a position overlapping both ends. In this case, only the left double-layered end of the safety loop 10 is bent where it is sewn together forming a surface 11. On the right, however, the lower end goes beyond the upper end so that a surface 11 of single-layered material remains on the right of the seam point for attachment of further fixing elements.
Figure 5 shows a safety loop 10 which is sewn together from two rectangular pieces 14, 15 of different length with surfaces 11 for the attachment of loops and/or fixing means, wherein the upper piece 14 is designed to be shortened so that the surfaces 11 are formed of single-layered material on both sides. The inner seam points of the safety loop 10 are each secured on both sides with tab-like inner tabs 17 for seam securing.
Figure 6 shows a safety loop 10 which is sewn together from two rectangular pieces 14, 15 of different length with surfaces 11 for the fixed attachment of loops and/or fixing means, wherein the upper piece 14 is designed to be shortened so that the surfaces 11 are formed of single-layered material on both sides. In contrast to Fig. 5, the outer positions of the shorter piece 14 are bent inwards.
The outer seam points of the safety loop 10 are each secured on both sides with tab-like outer tabs 17 for seam securing.
Figure 7 shows an annularly configured safety loop 10 with only one surface 11 for the fixed attachment of loops and/or fixing means. It can be seen in the section that the strap forming the safety loop 10 is firmly sewn at a point overlapping both ends. On the left the safety loop 10 is simply only closed without forming a surface 11. On this side, in the same way as in Fig. 8, slots could be provided for passing through the two loops attached on the body loop (64) of the safety bandage (100) of the type SEGUFIX
Standard intended for the detachable attachment of the shoulder retainer so that despite the safety loop (10) being placed thereover, the detachable shoulder retainer can be attached to the loops of the safety bandage (100) provided for this purpose. On the right, however, the lower end goes beyond the upper end so that on the right of the seam point a surface 11 of single-layered material remains for the attachment of further fixing elements. Likewise, a surface 11 formed from double-layered material is also feasible if both ends of the safety loop 10 are sewn together flush.
Figure 8 shows an annularly configured safety loop 10 with only one surface 11 for the fixed attachment of loops and/or fixing means. It can be seen in the section that the strap forming the safety loop 10 is firmly sewn flush at its ends. In contrast to Fig. 7, on the left the safety loop 10 is not simply only closed without forming a surface 11. Rather, two slots (22, 23) are located there for passing through the two loops attached on the body strap (64) of the safety bandage (100) of the type SEGUFIX
Standard intended for the detachable attachment of a shoulder retainer so that despite the safety loop (10) being placed thereover, the detachable shoulder retainer can be attached to the loops of the safety bandage (100) provided for this purpose. On the right, however, a surface 11 formed from double-layered material is formed by the ends which have been sewn together for attachment of further fixing elements, in particular a thigh cuff. A
surface 11 formed from single-layered material is also feasible if one of the ends of the loop 10, as shown in Fig. 7, projects over the other end.
Figures 9a and 9b show in plan view a loop 10 formed from two equal-length pieces 14, 15 with two double-layered surfaces 11 for fixed attachment of fixing means. In this case, the retaining strap 59 or body strap 64 of the safety bandage 100 are not simply placed through the safety loop 10. Instead, the ends of the body strap 64 are placed through the upper oblong holes 18 of the upper piece 14 and the ends of the retaining strap 59 are placed through the lower oblong holes 19. This prevents any slippage of the safety loop 10.
Figures l0a and lOb show in plan view a safety loop 10 formed from two equal-length pieces with two double-layered surfaces 11 for fixed attachment of loops and/or fixing means, wherein the lower part 15 of the safety loop 10 is broadened so far that the bed retainer of the retaining strap 59 is placed through the oblong holes 20 at the ends thereof to secure against slipping. In this case, the lower piece 15 of the safety loop 10 is broadened so widely that it lies as it were like a second "retaining strap below the retaining strap 59". At the same time, the lower piece 15, as shown on the left, can be held by an eyelet 66 or by the rounding of the retaining strap 59, as shown on the right, in which case the end piece of the broadened lower piece 15 on the right can end either over or under the retaining strap 59. In order to stabilise the position, in addition to those shown further oblong holes 19 can be mounted in pairs on the lower piece 15, through which the retaining strap 59 is passed so that the retaining strap 59 and the broadened lower piece 15 also do not slip with respect to one another in the transverse direction.
Figure 11 shows a shoulder retainer 67 with shoulder straps 68, 69, having one open end 72 and one closed end 73 for fixed attachment to the safety loop 10. For attachment to the safety loop 10 the closed end 73 can be sewn directly to the safety loop 10 on one side. It is also feasible that at an open end 72 the safety loop 10 is received in the opening 74 of the open end 72 so that this can then be sewn on both sides with the open end 72.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Figure 1 shows a safety loop according to the invention, which is provided with the reference numeral 10.
The annularly configured safety loop 10 has surfaces 11 for the fixed attachment of loops and/or fixing means. It can be seen in the section that the strap forming the safety loop 10 is sewn firmly at a position 21 overlapping the two ends of the strap. A bend 13 runs on both sides of the loop 10, which forms the termination of the surface 11 formed by sewing together the safety loop 10 at its ends.

Figure 3 shows the safety loop 10 of the safety restrain 100 combined with a shoulder bandage, the waist belt ends 28 and 29 whereof are passed through the loops 70 and 71 of the safety loop 10 fixedly attached to the upper surface 11, and which are thus detachably attached, as well as two thigh cuffs 50 fixedly attached to the lower surface 11 via the leg fixture straps 56 and 57, complete with longitudinal straps 52 fixedly attached to the body strap 64 and cross-pieces 53, 54 and 55. The straps forming a "substructure" under the body strap 64 and safety loop 10 are disposed in such a manner that the patient cannot slip through between the leg fixture strap 56 and 57 nor release the thigh cuffs 50 laterally to a sufficient extent to slip off the thigh cuffs 50 so that the patient is protected from slipping downwards with the risk of strangulation without a genital-crushing crotch loop being necessary.
Furthermore, bed retainers 62 with a sufficiently large number of eyelets 66 are attached to the thigh cuffs so that the bed retainers 62 can optionally be fastened to the couch with a belt lock 25 located in its own pocket 31 or with one of the eyelets 66 on the belt lock 25 located in the pocket 32 of the bed retainer 63 of the retaining strap 59. The detachable variant of the "substructure" with thigh cuffs, not shown here, would be configured in such a manner that two further loops 70, 71 are attached at the lower end of the safety loop 10, through which passes a bed connecting strap for connection to the couch to which the leg fixture strap 56 and 57 are fixedly attached. The longitudinal strap 52 would in turn be attached detachably to the body strap 64.
Figure 4 shows an annularly shaped safety loop 10 with surfaces 11 for fixed attachment of loops and/or fixing means. It can be seen in the section that the safety loop is sewn firmly at a position overlapping both ends. In this case, only the left double-layered end of the safety loop 10 is bent where it is sewn together forming a surface 11. On the right, however, the lower end goes beyond the upper end so that a surface 11 of single-layered material remains on the right of the seam point for attachment of further fixing elements.
Figure 5 shows a safety loop 10 which is sewn together from two rectangular pieces 14, 15 of different length with surfaces 11 for the attachment of loops and/or fixing means, wherein the upper piece 14 is designed to be shortened so that the surfaces 11 are formed of single-layered material on both sides. The inner seam points of the safety loop 10 are each secured on both sides with tab-like inner tabs 17 for seam securing.
Figure 6 shows a safety loop 10 which is sewn together from two rectangular pieces 14, 15 of different length with surfaces 11 for the fixed attachment of loops and/or fixing means, wherein the upper piece 14 is designed to be shortened so that the surfaces 11 are formed of single-layered material on both sides. In contrast to Fig. 5, the outer positions of the shorter piece 14 are bent inwards.
The outer seam points of the safety loop 10 are each secured on both sides with tab-like outer tabs 17 for seam securing.
Figure 7 shows an annularly configured safety loop 10 with only one surface 11 for the fixed attachment of loops and/or fixing means. It can be seen in the section that the strap forming the safety loop 10 is firmly sewn at a point overlapping both ends. On the left the safety loop 10 is simply only closed without forming a surface 11. On this side, in the same way as in Fig. 8, slots could be provided for passing through the two loops attached on the body loop (64) of the safety bandage (100) of the type SEGUFIX
Standard intended for the detachable attachment of the shoulder retainer so that despite the safety loop (10) being placed thereover, the detachable shoulder retainer can be attached to the loops of the safety bandage (100) provided for this purpose. On the right, however, the lower end goes beyond the upper end so that on the right of the seam point a surface 11 of single-layered material remains for the attachment of further fixing elements. Likewise, a surface 11 formed from double-layered material is also feasible if both ends of the safety loop 10 are sewn together flush.
Figure 8 shows an annularly configured safety loop 10 with only one surface 11 for the fixed attachment of loops and/or fixing means. It can be seen in the section that the strap forming the safety loop 10 is firmly sewn flush at its ends. In contrast to Fig. 7, on the left the safety loop 10 is not simply only closed without forming a surface 11. Rather, two slots (22, 23) are located there for passing through the two loops attached on the body strap (64) of the safety bandage (100) of the type SEGUFIX
Standard intended for the detachable attachment of a shoulder retainer so that despite the safety loop (10) being placed thereover, the detachable shoulder retainer can be attached to the loops of the safety bandage (100) provided for this purpose. On the right, however, a surface 11 formed from double-layered material is formed by the ends which have been sewn together for attachment of further fixing elements, in particular a thigh cuff. A
surface 11 formed from single-layered material is also feasible if one of the ends of the loop 10, as shown in Fig. 7, projects over the other end.
Figures 9a and 9b show in plan view a loop 10 formed from two equal-length pieces 14, 15 with two double-layered surfaces 11 for fixed attachment of fixing means. In this case, the retaining strap 59 or body strap 64 of the safety bandage 100 are not simply placed through the safety loop 10. Instead, the ends of the body strap 64 are placed through the upper oblong holes 18 of the upper piece 14 and the ends of the retaining strap 59 are placed through the lower oblong holes 19. This prevents any slippage of the safety loop 10.
Figures l0a and lOb show in plan view a safety loop 10 formed from two equal-length pieces with two double-layered surfaces 11 for fixed attachment of loops and/or fixing means, wherein the lower part 15 of the safety loop 10 is broadened so far that the bed retainer of the retaining strap 59 is placed through the oblong holes 20 at the ends thereof to secure against slipping. In this case, the lower piece 15 of the safety loop 10 is broadened so widely that it lies as it were like a second "retaining strap below the retaining strap 59". At the same time, the lower piece 15, as shown on the left, can be held by an eyelet 66 or by the rounding of the retaining strap 59, as shown on the right, in which case the end piece of the broadened lower piece 15 on the right can end either over or under the retaining strap 59. In order to stabilise the position, in addition to those shown further oblong holes 19 can be mounted in pairs on the lower piece 15, through which the retaining strap 59 is passed so that the retaining strap 59 and the broadened lower piece 15 also do not slip with respect to one another in the transverse direction.
Figure 11 shows a shoulder retainer 67 with shoulder straps 68, 69, having one open end 72 and one closed end 73 for fixed attachment to the safety loop 10. For attachment to the safety loop 10 the closed end 73 can be sewn directly to the safety loop 10 on one side. It is also feasible that at an open end 72 the safety loop 10 is received in the opening 74 of the open end 72 so that this can then be sewn on both sides with the open end 72.

Claims (52)
1. A safety bandage (100) for limiting the mobility of a patient lying on a support, or for positioning a patient on a support, comprising a retaining strap (59) to which a body strap (64) enclosing the patient's body in the abdominal area is movably connected, characterised in that the safety bandage (100) is supplemented by at least one material surface (11), in particular a rectangular material surface, which extends in the transverse direction of the couch, wherein the surface (11) is used for the fixed attachment of fixing elements such as shoulder retainer or thigh retainer and/or for the fixed attachment of loops, which are used for the detachable attachment of fixing elements such as shoulder retainer and thigh retainer.
2. The safety bandage according to claim 1, characterised in that at least one material surface (11) is fixedly or detachably connected thereto above the body strap (64) and/or below the retaining strap (59) and/or between body strap (64) and retaining strap (59).
3. The safety bandage according to claim 1, characterised in that the surface (11) is part of a safety loop (10) which is placed over the body strap (64) and the retaining strap (59), wherein the loop (10) is provided with the surface (11) on one side at the head or foot end or on both sides at the head and foot end of the patient, on which surface fixing elements and/or loops are fixedly attached, wherein the loops serve for detachable attachment of fixing means.
4. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the surface (11) is aligned towards the head and/or foot end of a patient, wherein the surface is single-layer or double-layer.
5. The safety bandage according to claim 3 or 4, characterised in that the safety loop (10) is formed in one piece and is annular and has two ends, wherein both ends are connected to one another and one of the ends of the safety loop (10) projects over the other end and forms the single-layer surface (11).
6. The safety bandage according to claim 3 or 4, characterised in that the safety loop (10) is formed in one piece and is annular and has two ends, wherein both ends are connected to one another, preferably sewn, and the double-layer surface (11) is formed on both sides of the safety loop (10).
7. The safety bandage according to claim 3 or 4, characterised in that the safety loop (10) is formed in one piece and is annular, wherein the safety loop (10) is closed outside the one-sided surface (11) to form the ring.
8. The safety bandage according to claim 3 or 4, characterised in that the safety loop (10) comprises two pieces (14, 15) attached one above the other, which are connected, preferably sewn, and their ends form the double-layered surfaces (11).
9. The safety bandage according to claim 8, characterised in that the pieces (14, 15) are of different length and one or both end(s) of the piece (15) forms the single-layer surface (11).
10. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 8 or 9, characterised in that the pieces (14, 15) applied one another the other are of different width.
11. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the edges of the safety loop (10) are bordered with edging strip to protect them.
12. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 3 to 11, characterised in that the safety loop (10) is provided with oblong holes (18, 19) through which the ends of the retaining strap (59) and/or body strap (64) can be placed, thus securing the loop against slipping along the safety bandage (100).
13. The safety bandage according to claim 12, characterised in that the lower of the two pieces (14, 15) forming the safety loop (10) is provided with oblong holes (19).
14. The safety bandage according to claim 12, characterised in that the upper of the two pieces (14,
15) forming the safety loop (10) is provided with oblong holes (18).
15. The safety bandage according to claim 12, characterised in that the lower and the upper of the two pieces (14, 15) forming the safety loop (10) are provided with oblong holes (18, 19).
15. The safety bandage according to claim 12, characterised in that the lower and the upper of the two pieces (14, 15) forming the safety loop (10) are provided with oblong holes (18, 19).
16. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 3 to 12, characterised in that the safety loop (10) is formed in one piece, wherein the lower half of the safety loop is broadened compared with the upper half of the safety loop (10).
17. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 3 to 16, characterised in that the lower piece (15) has respectively one oblong hole (19) at its edges, through which the retaining strap (59) is placed in such a manner that the retaining strap (59) and the relevant bed retainers (63) run under the lower piece (15) and thus eyes (66) located at the ends of the lower piece (15) can be placed on the locks (25) of the bed retainer (63) of the retaining strap (59) so that the safety loop is secured against slipping on the safety bandage (100).
18. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 3 to 16, characterised in that the lower piece (15) has respectively one oblong hole (19) further inwards at its edges, through which the retaining strap (59) can be placed and has an oblong hole (20) further outwards through which only narrower bed retainers (63) can be placed so that the retaining strap (59) runs between oblong hole (19) and oblong hole (20) underneath the lower piece (15) and the bed retainer (63) emerges through the oblong hole (20) further upwards and can be fastened to the bed frame, but leaves the retaining strap (59) behind, wherein the retaining strap (59) is designed to be broader than the bed retainer (63), so that the safety loop is secured against slipping on the safety bandage (100).
19. The safety bandage according to claim 18, characterised in that the retaining strap (59) is reinforced at its edges so that it is not bendable in order to be placed through the oblong hole (20).
20. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 3 to 19, characterised in that seams from inner joining points of the surfaces (11) are secured with inner tabs (16) for seam securing in such a manner that the tabs (16) are arranged in the form of a material piece between two pieces (14, 15) which are sewn together.
21. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 3 to 20, characterised in that seams at inner joining points of the surfaces (11) are secured with tabs (17) for seam securing in such a manner that at the pieces (14, 15) which are sewn together, the tab (17) in the form of a material piece joins these together directly before the seam.
22. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 3 to 21, characterised in that one end at the joining point of the surface (11) is inwardly inverted, so that the inwardly inverted part of the surface (11) itself takes over the function of an inner tab.
23. The safety bandage according to claim 22, characterised in that the exterior seam at the connecting point on the surface (11) is secured with the tab (17) for seam securing in such a manner that directly before the seam, the tab (17) joins together the two ends of the safety loop (10) which are sewn together or the pieces (14, 15) forming the safety loop.
24. The safety bandage according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the safety loop (10) and the material surface is made from a non-bendable or barely bendable material so that the safety bandage (100) is given a stable mounting inside the safety loop (10).
25. The safety bandage according to claim 24, characterised in that the pieces (14, 15) are joined together with rivets.
26. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 24 or 25, characterised in that the non-bendable or barely bendable material is sewn into the safety loop (10) so that it does not come in contact with a patient.
27. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 1 to 26, characterised in that loops for detachable attachment of further fixing means and/or fixing means are firmly attached on the surface (11).
28. The safety bandage according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that a shoulder retainer is detachably attached to the surface (11).
29. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 1 to 28, characterised in that a shoulder retainer is fixedly attached to the surface (11).
30. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 28 or 29, characterised in that pairs of loops are attached to the rearward shoulder straps (68, 69) of the shoulder retainer for attachment of further bed connecting straps, waist straps, combination straps of bed connecting loop and waist strap as well as other straps.
31. The safety bandage according to claim 30, characterised in that the straps which are detachably attachable to the shoulder retainer by means of the pairs of loops are attached fixedly to the shoulder straps (68, 69).
32. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 28 to 31, characterised in that the fixedly or detachably connected shoulder retainer is configured in such a manner that both ends (28, 29) of the waist straps in each case with both shoulder straps (68, 69), these in turn connecting one another, are detachably connected to one another, wherein eyes (66) are located for this purpose at the ends (28, 29) of the waist strap and lock receptacles are located on the shoulder straps (68, 69).
33. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 1 to 32, characterised in that two thigh cuffs (50) are attached to the surface (11) by means of detachably attached leg fixture straps (56, 57).
34. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 1 to 32, characterised in that two thigh cuffs (50) are attached to the surface (11) by means of fixedly attached leg fixture straps (56, 57).
35. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 33 or 34, characterised in that the thigh cuffs (50) are connected to one another with a cross-piece (55).
36. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 33 to 35, characterised in that longitudinal straps (52) are attached to the thigh cuffs (50) for detachable connection to the body strap (64).
37. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 33 to 35, characterised in that longitudinal straps (52) are attached to the thigh cuffs (50) for fixed connection to the body strap (64).
38. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 36 or 37, characterised in that the leg fixture straps (56, 57) are connected to the longitudinal straps (52) located thereover in each case and the leg fixture straps (56, 57) are in turn connected to one another with a long cross-piece (53) whose ends embrace the thigh.
39. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 33 to 38, characterised in that the space between safety loop (10), leg fixture straps(56, 57) and cross-pieces (53, 54, 55) is configured to be flat or the straps themselves or in conjunction with other straps are arranged to form such a surface function that the bottom of a patient cannot slip between the leg fixture straps (56, 57).
40. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 33 to 39, characterised in that the thigh cuff (59) is additionally provided with a bed retainer (62) forming a bed connecting strap for additional detachable fastening to the bed frame.
41. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 33 to 40, characterised in that at the ends of the bed retainers (62) of the thigh cuffs (50) respectively one loop is attached, through which the bed retainer (63) of the retaining strap (59) can be inserted.
42. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 33 to 40, characterised in that the bed retainer (62) of the thigh cuff (50) is fixedly connected without further closure means directly to the bed retainers (63) of the retaining strap (59) or is fixedly connected to the retaining strap (59) itself, possibly sewn or riveted.
43. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 33 to 40, characterised in that the thigh cuff (50) is provided with additional bed retainers (62) forming bed connecting straps for additional fastening to the belt locks of the bed retainers (63) of the retaining strap (59).
44. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 27 to 43, characterised in that a shoulder retainer is fixedly and/or detachably attached to one or both of the surfaces (11) and/or thigh cuffs (50) are fixedly and/or detachably attached to one of the surfaces via bed retaining straps (56, 57).
45. The safety bandage according to preceding claims, characterised in that the safety loop (10) and/or the material surface is fixedly connected to the safety bandage (100), possibly sewn or riveted.
46. The safety bandage according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the material surface or the safety loop (10) is only connected to the body strap (64) of the safety bandage (100) whilst retaining the loop-like belts (65) holding together the body strap (64) and retaining strap (59).
47. The safety bandage according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the material surface or the safety loop (10) is only connected to the retaining strap (59) of the safety bandage (100) whilst retaining the loop-like belts (65) holding together the body strap (64) and retaining strap (59).
48, The safety bandage according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the fixing means are secured with belt locks.
49. The safety bandage according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the fixing means are secured with Velcro closures, belt buckles or the like.
50. The safety bandage according to any one of claims 3 to 49, characterised in that the safety loop (10) has at least two projecting slots (22, 23) to pass through loops located on the safety bandage so that despite the safety bandage (100) being placed thereover, detachable fixing elements can be attached to the loops of the safety bandage.
51. A retrofit kit for a safety bandage (100) for limiting the mobility of a patient lying on a support, or for positioning a patient on a support, comprising a retaining strap (59) to which a body strap (64) enclosing the patient's body in the abdominal area is movably connected, comprising at least one additional material surface, in particular additional rectangular material surface, which extends in the transverse direction of the couch, wherein the surface is used for fixed attachment of fixing means such as shoulder retainer and thigh retainer and/or for fixed attachment of loops which are used for the detachable attachment of fixing means such as shoulder retainer and thigh retainer.
52. The retrofit kit according to claim 50, characterised in that the safety bandage (100) is configured according to one of claims 2 to 49.
