Description
Description FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The spray solution is intended to be used for the treatment and prevention of Athlete's foot.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Athlete's foot is a very common problem among people. It is more prominent among certain populations e.g. athletes and soldiers.
The main cause is dermatophyte type of fungi. The currently available treatments include creams, powders, paints and sprays for mild to moderate cases or oral treatment for severe infections.
Non of the available solution sprays contain a combination of a natural anti-fungal e.g. tea tree oil (Melaieuca alternifolia) and clotrimazol. When both substances dissolved in isopropyl alcohol 70%; the solution provides a triple action against the fungus that causes athlete's foot.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The formula is:
Clotrimazol 1 gm Tea tree oil 5ml (at least) Isopropyl alcohol 70% ad 100mI
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The spray is unique in combining a natural remedy that is "Tea tree oil" along with a pharmacopoeial drug "clotrimazol".
Compared to the presently available powder sprays it has the advantage of the drying effect without dusting.
The isopropyl alcohol 70% used as a solvent will provide an antiseptic effect in addition to the cool and drying action. At the temperature of the body, it takes between 3-5 minutes to evaporate along with any humidity and moisture present on foot or inside the shoe.
Clotrimazol is a very well documented anti-fungal in a concentration of 1%.
Tea tree oil when used in its pure form (undiluted) caused side effects e.g. local irritation and inflammation; however in diluted forms it provides the advantages of overcoming the symptoms of athlete's foot without side effects.
The spray solution is intended to be used for the treatment and prevention of Athlete's foot.
