Abstract

La présente concerne un système pour récupérer les gaz produits lors d'une électrodialyse d'une solution saline, à partir du gaz entraîné dans une solution électrolyte circulant à travers les compartiments anode et cathode d'une unité d'électrodialyse. Selon un mode de réalisation, le système propose des tours catholytes et anolytes distinctes dans une boucle fermée et de recirculation entre les compartiments cathode et anode. Chaque tour comprend un orifice d'entrée où le gaz entraîné se sépare de la solution électrolyte et s'écoule vers le vide. Il est possible de récupérer les gaz résiduels de la solution électrolyte dans un appareil supplémentaire. Préférablement, l'hydrogène gazeux est séparé de la solution catholyte et, de façon encore plus préférable, il est de nouveau purifié pour être utilisé comme source de carburant dans des dispositifs de génération de puissance de remplacement, comme une pile à combustible ou un générateur de biocombustible, utile dans les opérations unitaires d'un système de traitement de l'eau.
