Abstract
Selon l'invention, les risques des forages à faible profondeur, tels que des karsts, des cavernes, des espaces vides et des discontinuités non consolidées, qui peuvent représenter des risques significatifs à l'exploration et au développement de forage, sont détectés au moyen de données de sismique réfraction, sur lesquelles une série d'analyses de caractéristiques sont effectuées. Les données ainsi obtenues sont ensuite traitées pour fournir une visualisation tridimensionnelle. Les passages des rayons à ondes réfractées sont déformés, lorsqu'ils rencontrent une caractéristiques de caverne avec la présence d'absorption de rétrodiffusion. L'énergie résultante enregistrée sur les récepteurs de surface est sensiblement réduite par rapport aux ondes réfléchies enregistrées par d'autres récepteurs, pour lesquelles aucune caverne n'est présente. De nombreux réfracteurs sont soumis à un traitement relativement simple et rapide au moyen d'un logiciel disponible dans le commerce qui permet de suivre les différences et de les cartographier à la surface, de manière à améliorer la sélection de l'implantation des puits et à prévenir les ingénieurs et les équipes de forage de l'éventualité d'un risque.
