Abstract

Des procédés, des méthodes et des dispositifs sont présentés en vue de réduire la concentration de phosphore dans les eaux usées. Le procédé comprend l'ajout d'une quantité convenable d'un coagulant/floculant à base d'aluminium, par exemple un produit coagulant/floculant aluminium-silicate, aux eaux usées tout en maintenant le pH des eaux usées à des valeurs d'environ 4,5 à 6,65. Cette étape fournit un éventuel flux d'effluent de flocs précipités à base d'aluminium contenant du phosphore dispersés dans les eaux usées. L'étape suivante implique l'extraction physique, par exemple par filtration, des flocs précipités à base d'aluminium contenant du phosphore qui sont dispersés dans les eaux usées. Ces étapes permettent de fournir un effluent d'eaux usées contentant moins d'environ 0,03 mg de phosphore total par litre d'eaux usées. La révélation propose également des méthodes et des dispositifs innovateurs pour réaliser le nouveau procédé.
