Abstract

Oil or similar fluid lift piping heating equipment comprising a longitudina l electric heater that may be operationally linked with the tubing. The heater features a flexible body that, fitted with a predominantly polymeric cover o f insulating, thermoconducting, anticorrosive and mechanically-resistant properties, is housed inside a thermoconducting metallic duct. Additionally, the electric heater is connected to an electric power supply line through a passage in the tubing drive head. By means of the panel of the remote switchboard, electric power is applied to the main line conductors. These conductors carr y electric power onto the heating means of the electric heater. The latter transmits heat to the tubing through its various layers and through the metallic duct. The heat applied prevents obstruction formed by some substances such as paraffins, high viscosity heavy crudes or hydrates. Two well-defined embodiments are provided, one external to the tubing and another internal thereto.
