Abstract

The invention relates to a concrete material for a carrier layer of a ballastless railway or tramway track, and to the use of the same for producing one such carrier layer. The aim of the invention is to use said material to enable a significant reduction of the manual work required until now for the assembly and compaction work especially for superelevations in the bends of the track. To this end, the concrete material contains 240 - 280 kg /m3 of limestone powder, and 1500 - 1700 kg/m3 of aggregates, said aggregates consisting of 35-45 % of aggregates having a particle size of between 0 and 2 mm, 25-35 % of aggregates having a particle size of between 2 and 8 mm, and 25-35 % of aggregates having a particle size of between 8 and 16 mm, the number of the consistency class decreasing by reducing the part of solvents, as the geometrical cant of the carrier layer of the superstructure increases.

Claims (4)

1. A concrete material for a base course of a permanent way for railroads or streetcars that is realized in a ballastless fashion, characterized in that the concrete material has a limestone powder content of 240-280 kg/m3 and an aggregate content of 1500-1700 kg/m3, wherein 35-45% of the aggregate consist of an aggregate with grain sizes on the order of 0 to 2 mm, 25-35% consist of an aggregate with grain sizes on the order of 2 to 8 mm and 25-35% consist of an aggregate with grain sizes on the order of 8 to 16 mm, and wherein the consistency class of the concrete material is lowered as the geometric banking of the base course of the permanent way increases by reducing the plasticizer content.
2. The concrete material according to Claim 2 [sic] for a base course of a permanent way for railroads or streetcars that is realized in a ballastless fashion, characterized in that the concrete material has a plasticizer content of 1.7-1.8 kg/m3 for realizing a consistency class F6, a plasticizer content of 1.65-1.75 kg/m3 for realizing a consistency class F5, a plasticizer content of 1.6-1.7 kg/m3 for realizing a consistency class F4, a plasticizer content of 1.4-1.5 kg/m3 for realizing a consistency class F3, a plasticizer content of 1.1-1.25 kg/m3 for realizing a consistency class F2 or a plasticizer content of 0.5-0.75 kg/m3 for realizing a consistency class F1.
3. The concrete material according to Claim 1 or 2 for a base course of a permanent way for railroads or streetcars that is realized in a ballastless fashion, characterized in that the concrete material contains a plasticizer that is based on a polycarboxylate ether.
4. The utilization of the concrete material according to one of Claims 1-3 for constructing a base course of a permanent way for railroads or streetcars that is realized in a ballastless fashion.
