Abstract

Une cellule hydrolytique est constituée de chambres supérieure et inférieure, séparées étanches entre elles par un élément de séparation, un ou plusieurs canaux dans ledit élément de séparation permettant le passage du gaz dans la chambre supérieure. On empêche le liquide de pénétrer dans la chambre supérieure au moyen de filtres perméables au gaz tels que les filtres en métal Hastelloy.TM.. L'invention concerne aussi une électrode constituée soit d'une pile généralement verticale de disques perforés espacés soit de filtres en métaux poreux tels que les filtres en métal Hastelloy.TM., qui sont montés sur une tige conductrice. Un système de détection de niveau comprend une source lumineuse et un détecteur qui dirige la lumière vers la chambre inférieure, la lumière étant réfléchie d'un réflecteur à l'intérieur de la chambre de manière à ce que le niveau du liquide soit détecté au niveau du détecteur grâce à une intensité lumineuse réduite.
