Description

WO 2004/05841 WO 2004/05841

a) on moule un corps de pompe en menageant sur sa surface interne, au voisinage d'un siege du clapet, des nervures radiates presentant chacune un bord longitudinal et une portion d'extremite detachee de la surface interne, les bords longitudinaux definissant entre eux un espace d'insertion de la bille, au voisinage dudit siege ;
2 PCT / EP2003 / 014321 The object of the present invention is (the integration of a check valve ball return in a pump body.
This type of valve includes a ball cooperating with a seat, generally conical, feed into the end of the pump body. In order to best fulfill its function of non-return valve, the ball must come close the seat quickly after pumping the product, and therefore must have a limited range of motion between a first position, in which the valve is open, and a second position in which the valve is closed.
~ A known solution is to enclose the ball in a space household inside the pump body. To prevent the ball from coming out of this space, it is common to form on the pump body, above ball, undercuts that define an opening substantially circular in diameter smaller than that of the ball. The movement of the ball is then limited by a tote by the valve seat and on the other by said undercuts.
The larger the undercuts, the greater the diameter of The opening which they define is weak and better is the restraint of the ball. However, the molding processes generally used to carry out the pump body, like injection molding, prohibit the direct creation of too large undercuts in said body.
These latter reveal themselves to be considerably annoying during The demolding step.
Also, to avoid creating undercuts of low relief which hold the ball badly or too large undercuts which cause mold release, it is common to use a part supplemenfaire.
This piece placed above the ball replaces the counter spoils by closing the cavity in which the ball is movable, but imprisoned. However, the manufacture of such a part represents a all of additional production and its insertion into the bottom of the body.
can be tricky.
The present invention proposes to resolve the disadvantages existing processes and has for object ('integration of a non-return valve ball in a pump body, characterized in that CG ° i ~ ~~ Ctal '~~ i? NiATICI ~

a) a pump body is molded while providing on its internal surface, at vicinity of a valve seat, radiate ribs presenting each a longitudinal edge and a portion of end detached from the internal surface, the longitudinal edges defining between them a ball insertion space, in the vicinity of said seat;
b) a ball is introduced inside the household space by said ribs; and c) the end portions of said plastics are deformed in a plastic manner ribs inward of the pump body, whereby the ball is imprisoned inside said space.
Such a method makes it possible to carry out the molding without difficulty and demolding the pump body. Preferably, we mold by injection the pump body. In addition, it is no longer necessary to have recourse to a additional piece, which facilitates the mounting of the valve and allows reduce production tastes.
Advantageously, the longitudinal edges of said ribs radiates are part of a cylindrical surface with a circular base of diameter slightly higher than that of the bills. The amplitude of the radial movement of the ball inside the defined cylinder of revolution, is thus limited so as to favor the axial movement of the ball and by the same optimize the operation of the valve.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, we use, for step c) of the process, a tool inserted axially inside the pump body. This tool can have a flat tip, this shape simple to easily deform the end portions of ribs. The tool also uses peat to be heated, the heat emitted promoting the deformation of said portions.
A second object of the invention is a molded pump body, in particular during the implementation of the process defined above.
lJn such a pump body includes radiate ribs on its internal surface, reacted on the bottom of the body, each presenting a longitudinal edge and a portion of the end detached from the surface internal.
Preferably, said end portion preserite an edge ~ 35 upper which deviates from said internal surface by forming an acute angle

La description qui suit se refere aux dessins annexes sur lesquels - la figure 1 est une coupe transversale d'un corps de pompe 30. moule selon ('invention ;
- la figure 2A est une coupe transversale du corps de pompe de , la figure 1 dans lequel est disposee une bille et dans lequel on introduit un outil a embout plat ;
3 with her. The above angle is measured between the internal surface of the body of pump and the middle plane of the upper edge of the end portions.
Advantageously, each end portion has a sharp angle between its longitudinal edge and its upper edge.
Such a form is used in batches from step c) of deformation of end portions of the process described above. Indeed, due the inclination of the upper edge, when a tool inserted axially into the pump body comes into contact with said edge, the pressure exerted by The tool contributes to folding down said end portions vets I ', interior of pump body.
Once the ball is inserted into the pump body and once.
said end portions folded back, the grooves define a kind of cage in which the ball is mobile but trapped. We then obtain an assembly consisting of a pump body and a non-return valve a ball, in which the pump body comprises on its internal surface, at in the vicinity of the valve seat, radiate ribs each having a longitudinal edge and an end portion detached from the internal surface plastically deformed inside the pump body, said edges longitudinal defining between them an insertion space for the ball, at preferably in the vicinity of said seat, this space is substantially cylindrical with circular base and diameter slightly greater than that of 'the ball.
Another object of the invention is a pump comprising a pump body as defined above after molding and after plastic deformation.
The invention and its advantages will be better understood on reading of the detailed description of a preferred embodiment of the invention.
The following description refers to the accompanying drawings on which - Figure 1 is a cross section of a pump body 30. mold according to the invention;
- Figure 2A is a cross section of the pump body, Figure 1 in which is arranged a ball and in which we introduce a flat tip tool;

4 - la figure 3 est une coupe transversals du meme corps de pompe apres ,deformation plastique. des portions d'extrsmite desdites rainures, et ;
4 - Figure 3 is a cross section of the same body of pump afterwards, plastic deformation. end portions of said grooves, and;
- Figure 4 is a cross section of an assembly a mold pump body and a bill check valve.
The pump body 1 mold as shown in Figure 1 includes, on its interns surface 3 and above the valve seat 5 intended to be closed by a bills, radiated ribs 7.
These ribs 7 each have a longitudinal edge 9 and a portion of extremities 11 detached from the surface, interns 3, the edge upper plane 12, of the end portion 11 deviating from the surface interns 3 at an acute angle, with ells.
In addition, costs opposite the internal surface ~ 3, said portion end 11 has a sharp angle, this angle is defined by its edge longitudinal 9 and its upper edge 12. In the example represents, Tangle vif abovementioned is complementary to Tangle a.
With reference to figure 2A, we introduce a bills 13 inside of the pump body 1. This bills 13 is then housed inside of The insertion space defined by the longitudinal edges 9 of the ribs 11, in the vicinity of the valve seat. These edges are preferably part of a cylindrical surface with a circular base, of slightly inscribed diameter higher than that of bills 1, as shown in Figure 2B. A tool with flat tip l5 is then introduced axially inside the body of pump 1.
~ Referring to Figure 3, the flat tip of the tool 15 comes to contact of the end portions 11 detached from the internal surface 3 and exerts a pressure on them which forces them to fold back towards the interior of the pump body i. The end portions 11 fold down from this way due to the inclination of their upper edges 12, on which the pressure of the tool 15 is exerted.
Once plastically deformed, the end portions 11 erectly the bills 13 inside the space defined by the edges longitudinal 9 of the ribs 7. FIG. 4 shows (the assembly obtained, built into the pump body and the integrated non-return bill valve 35. forms.
