Abstract

la présente invention concerne un procédé automatisé permettant de reporter des représentations de repères lisibles par l'oeil humain ou par machine qui contiennent des numéros ou des symboles uniques d'identification de pièce sur des pièces venues de fonderie ou forgées, ceci au moyen de techniques de dépôt ou de gravure par laser. A cette fin, on entre des informations d'identification de pièces dans un logiciel de codage de symboles qui convertit des données ASCII en un format symbolique à matrice de données.TM. (2-D). Le format symbolique bidimensionnel est ensuite transmis électroniquement à un programme de dessin assisté par ordinateur (CAD) dans lequel l'adjonction de formes cellulaires de données et d'informations sur la hauteur permet d'obtenir une représentation tridimensionnelle (3-D) du repère recherché. Cette information est alors transmise à un laser qui assure un dépôt ou une gravure en profondeur. Le laser sert à appliquer un symbole tridimensionnel (3-D) sur une insert métallique qui est disposé dans un creux du moule. Ce repère appliqué sur la pièce rapportée est ensuite transféré sur la pièce au cours des opérations de moulage ou de forgeage ultérieures. La gravure au laser convient également pour l'application de repères directement sur des moulages au sable. L'invention concerne également des configurations et formations nouvelles et uniques d'éléments de cellules de données pour le formage, le forgeage et le moulage desdits éléments.
