Abstract

L'invention concerne une composition sous forme de suspension polymère fluidifiée à base d'huile minérale blanche légère, destinée à être utilisée en tant que modificateur de rhéologie dans des revêtements de papier. On a découvert que par utilisation d'une composition sélectionnée à base d'huile de faible viscosité en tant que support, des suspensions polymères fluidifiées, acceptables sur le plan écologique et à teneur en solides élevée, constituées de dérivés de cellulose hydrosolubles, de polymères hydrosolubles synthétiques, de gomme de guar et de ses dérivés, d'amidon et de ses dérivés ainsi que de mélanges de ces derniers, peuvent être préparées. On a découvert que la suspension polymère fluidifiée selon la présente invention présente des propriétés d'efficacité bénéfiques inattendues lorsqu'on l'ajoute en tant que modificateur de rhéologie à un revêtement de papier contenant des liants classiques, un pigment et de l'eau. La composition sous forme de suspension polymère fluide à base d'huile selon la présente invention destinée à être utilisée en tant que modificateur de rhéologie dans le revêtement de papier comprend : a) un polymère hydrophile, b) une argile organophile, c) un stabilisateur de tensio-actif, et d) une huile minérale blanche légère présentant des propriétés sélectionnées.
