Abstract

L'invention porte sur un système d'extinction de feux (100) qui selon certains de ses aspects utilise une substance extinctrice (112) composée d'un suppresseur (219) et d'un absorbeur thermique (212), le suppresseur (210) assurant l'extinction, et l'absorbeur thermique (212) absorbant la chaleur du feu. Dans une exécution l'absorbeur thermique (212) non seulement absorbe la chaleur, mais empêche la réflexion vers le feu du rayonnement thermique par le suppresseur et/ou d'autres surfaces. Dans d'autres exécutions ou variantes, l'absorbeur thermique (212) peut transférer la chaleur à la surface et/ou à l'intérieur des particules ou gouttelettes de suppresseur pour en promouvoir l'activation.
