Abstract

Méthode permettant de retirer un contaminant liquide d'un liquide dont la masse volumique est supérieure à celle du contaminant. La première étape consiste à placer une couche de poudre flottante non absorbante à l'interface entre le contaminant liquide et le liquide, de telle sorte que la couche de poudre soulève le contaminant hors du liquide. La seconde étape consiste à retirer le contaminant liquide se trouvant à la surface de la couche de poudre flottante non absorbante. Selon cette méthode, on a utilisé avec succès de la poudre de caoutchouc provenant de pneus recyclés pour retirer des hydrocarbures de l'eau.
