Abstract
The present invention provides an ergonomic microscope support or other stationary ocular device for three-axis adjustment to improve the physical posture of the user relative to the microscope. A tilt module provides a better horizontal position of the user relative to the eyepieces while a rail allows to change the distance from it. Finally, an elevation mechanism allows adjustment of the height of the microscope, thus preventing the user from leaning unnecessarily on the device.
Description
SUPPORT POUR MICROSCOPE
MICROSCOPE SUPPORT
Technical field of the invention The present invention relates to an ergonomic support for a microscope intended for be installed on a table or counter. The support can be adjusted to tilt the microscope and move it vertically and horizontally into view to optimize the distance and the position of the eyepieces relative to the user.
Previous Technigue Conventionally, optical microscopes and binoculars are installed on the flat surfaces such as microscope tables or countertops laboratories. Design particular of these optical devices forces users to adopt working positions uncomfortable, where they sometimes have to adjust the height of their chair or still move the microscope itself. Sometimes the position of the device is totally inadequate and that the user prefers to stand up and lean towards the eyepieces rather than to sit for study his samples, especially during brief exams. This same type of situation is observed when multiple users share the same tool.
This kind of use may cause back pain and other musculoskeletal disorders.
Microscope positioning tools have been developed in the past.
However, these tools have been developed for surgical purposes where nature of the subject excluded the use of stationary microscopes. In this way, supports for microscopes or surgical binoculars have been developed to allow the displacement and the rotation of the optical tool on three axes (Canadian Patents published under the numbers: 1 157,448, 1,132,960, 1,270,474, 1,270,676 and 2,087,348). Since the samples prepared on the blades of microscope and the small objects studied do not require such flexibility in adjusting the position of the device, no adjustable support for microscope stationary has been developed, at least, to the knowledge of the applicant. There is therefore a need for a support ergonomic support for optical tools allowing the user to quickly position the eyepieces of a microscope and to adopt an adequate physical position so to prevent injuries and improve the comfort of the user.
2 Object of the invention An object of the present invention is to provide a device promoting a ergonomic posture for microscope users when using the device.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a simple adjustment of the height of the microscope as well as its distance to the user in order to avoid postures physical lead to back pain.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a good posture of the head and neck of the user by tilting the microscope so as to allow a more horizontally in eyepieces.
Summary of the invention An object of the present invention is to provide an ergonomic support for microscope comprising a support member, a base mounted on the support member, a support to microscope tilting and a means of horizontally moving the base and the support reclining microscope relative to the user. The support also includes elevation devices operable with the base and the tilting stand to move the stand tilting along the articulated device to the desired inclined position between a position to dish of the device reclining adjacent to the base and a maximum high position of the support Tilt. Finally, the support includes a device allowing a vertical displacement of the base and support reclining relative to the anchor point.
Fig.1 illustre la vue arrière du dessus du support à microscope;
Fig.2 illustre une vue frontale du dessus du support à microscope;
Fig.3 illustre une vue frontale du dessous du support à microscope;
The general description of the nature of the invention being made, diagrams comprehensive representing a typical copy of it where:
Fig.1 illustrates the rear view of the top of the microscope stand;
Fig.2 illustrates a front view of the top of the microscope stand;
Fig.3 illustrates a front view of the underside of the microscope stand;
Fig.4 illustrates a side view of the microscope stand; and Fig. 5 is a side view of lateral adjustment movements and vertical support microscope.
Description of the invention With reference to the diagrams, more particularly FIGS. 1 and 2 illustrate a support to ergonomic microscope usually named by the numerical reference 1. This support ergonomic is composed of a base 3 illustrated by a rectangular member which will be discussed more in detail later. The latter is mounted on a support member 5 who will also be discussed in more detail later. The ergonomic support also includes support for reclining microscope 7 illustrated by a rectangular plate that is hinged from the base 3 on a hinge 9.
Anyone knowledgeable in this area will notice that the hinge 9 could be replaced by any other type of articulation without move away from the context original of the invention. The base 3 and the tilting support 7 are all two rectangular as mentioned before and are of similar dimensions which allows the support Reclining 7 to be superimposed on the base 3 as shown. Support to reclining microscope rectangular 7 is composed of a flange 11 at one end and a flange back 13, such as shown in Figure 1. Both flanges 11 and 13 continue vertically upward so to avoid a recoil movement of the microscope that would remove it from the support reclining 7.
Tel 4 As illustrated, the base 3 and the tilting support 7 must be articulated relative to each other at through the hinge 9 to the desired inclined position between the position flat 67 of support reclining adjacent to the base 3 and the upper position 69 of the support Tilt. This adjustment is done on the support from a lever system roughly illustrated by the reference 16. The lever system is composed of two lever arms 17 and 17a. In order to simplify things, only arm 17 will be described, highlighting the fact that the arm 17a is identical and works the same way. The lever arm 17 has a link articulated to one of its ends connected to the base 3 and a fixed joint to its other end attached to the support reclining microscope 7 so as to allow articulated elevation of the tilting support microscope 7 which will be described later. This vertical elevation is ensured, as illustrated, by a worm 19 placed horizontally in a support provided for this purpose 21 which in turn is attached to the base 3 as illustrated in Figures 1 and 2. The screw support endless 21 receives this last (19) horizontally and is adapted to allow its free rotation. A
Suitable cradle 23, 23a is provided to each of the lever arms 17, 17a. The cradles 23, 23a are constructed to allow the lever arms 17 and 17a to pivot their end.
As for the other end of the lever arms 17, 17a, it is connected to a pivot point 24, 24a attached to the flange 13 so as to provide a fixed hinge relative to the tilting support. The horizontal worm 19 can be screwed / unscrewed with the help of a button control fixed to that in order to move the lever arm 23, 23a in one direction or the other and to cause articulation lever arm 17, 17a causing raising or lowering of the support reclining such illustrated in Figure 5. In addition, as shown, the control knob 27 is attached to one end of the worm 19 to allow rotation thereof in one or the other directions possible.
As mentioned above, a means should be provided to move horizontally the base 3 as well as the inclinable microscope support 7 relative to the limb 5. This movement will be possible. as shown in the diagram, thanks to a rail 31 attached to the upper side a fixed plate 33 coupled to a suitable rolling rail 35 which is fixed under the base 3 and coupled to the rail 31 as illustrated. Obviously, a regular person is able to decide where he wants assemble the rail 31 and the rail 35 relative to the fixed plate 33 and the base 3. The user realize that by sliding the base 3 and tilting the support 7 relatively to the fixed plate 33, the Full support will rest closer or further from him horizontally.
About support member 5, some references will deal with the figure 4 which offers a view more detailed this portion of the microscope mount compared to the view overall. Such
Member higher 37 is composed of a longitudinal groove 55 whose utility will be detailed more far. The member of support 5 also comprises a guide plate 41, preferably cut from a piece of metal, despite the fact that any material deemed suitable can do the trick. This last is provided with a groove of slide 47 thus defining an opening which will be further on and a threaded hole 49 whose utility will also be defined later. The guide plate 41 is fixed at the upper limb 37 so that the slide groove 47 and the hole threaded 49 are exactly aligned with the longitudinal groove 55 as illustrated by the diagram. The member of support 5 also comprises a support keel 51 fixed by its end higher than below the fixed plate 33 and with its lower end, such as illustrated, at a bar of reinforcement 43 which will be detailed later.
Underneath at the upper end of the fixed plate 33 to the end lower module 45 as illustrated is fastened across the reinforcing bar 43 which will be detailed below. A
vertical worm 53 passes through the threaded hole 49 and is attached to its bottom end at module 45 after going through the bottom bar 54 of the bar of reinforcement 43. On lower part of the support member 5, there is an electric motor to operate the module operating the screw. Obviously, any other solution judged appropriate allowing to operate the vertical screw can be used. However, he was determined a small engine electric would be the most suitable solution in the case of this invention.
Before you go far, the reinforcement bar 43 must be detailed. It consists of a member having the form of a 'Z' itself consisting of an upper bar 57, a lower bar 54 and a member connector 61. The upper portion of the reinforcing bar 43 is connected to the plate fixed 33 through a weld joining its upper bar underneath the fixed plate, as shown in the diagrams. As for the lower part, its bar lower is pierced with a hole 63 through which the vertical worm passes before attaching at module 45, more particularly at the point of attachment 65 of the electric motor 45. The bars superior 57 and lower 54 are held together by the connector member 61. It goes without to say, that everything movement, particularly a vertical movement of the lower bar 54 will result in vertical movement of the reinforcement bar 43 as well as the base 3 and the plate of tilting support 7.
6 In use, when the electric motor 45 is activated, on one side or on the other, he trains the movement of the worm 53 and the up or down through its commitment to through the threaded hole 49. This operation automatically causes the bar reinforcement 43 in the same direction thus displacing the fixed plate 33 as well as the base 3 and support reclining 7, thereby allowing the microscope to move vertically .. The microscope can thus be moved horizontally from front to back and vice versa using of the rail module as detailed above. Position adjustment vertical is obtained in activating the electric motor 45 in one direction or the other. Finally, the control button 27 allows to adjust the inclination of the microscope.
This invention has been detailed in accordance with the drawings. However, many changes will take place. In this way, the descriptions and diagrams accompanying must be taken as an indication of the invention and not as clauses limiting.
