Abstract

Insulated solid wood log ACCURATE OR ABBREVIATED DESCRIPTION This is a solid wood piece intended for the construction of exterior walls of buildings and whose special machined cut in the shape of an "H" allows the insertion of insulating pieces rigid. The concept allows the progressive mounting of the walls by fitting the pieces on top of each other. Solid timber-to-wood houses have long been part of the built heritage of the northern hemisphere. But since the 1970s, energy saving standards have imposed increasingly stringent thermal insulation and sealing characteristics. Traditional construction methods can no longer meet these performance criteria. This new concept makes it possible to construct buildings with a traditional appearance which, in addition, adequately meet the requirements of modern performance. A first H-shaped ball is placed fitted with an insulating part in its lower cavity. It is fixed in place. Then an insulating part is inserted into the upper cavity e. This piece of rigid insulation exceeds the cavity in sufficient height to fill the lower cavity of the next ball to be installed. This second ball is installed and thus the process continues to the desired height of the wall. This concept applies very well to constructions with beams and columns structure, without being limited to it. The machined side cut-outs of the ball allow for watertight and efficient seals. Depending on the different applications, the detail of the construction of these joints is essential for the integrity of the entire wall.

Description

Solid wood ball isolated DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to a solid wood ball, copies of which are put one on the other to form walls. The top and bottom of the count are grooved so to create housing for rigid or semi-rigid insulation parts. The room take so a form reminiscent of an H. This device not only greatly improves the resistance thermal of the piece of wood but also to create an assembly system. The room will also be formed of three pieces, a heart and two sides, assembled to form the same H-shaped ball. This system is completed by one or more lateral grooves at the top of each ball and whose dimensions are expressly consistent with the type of attached to do between the balls.
In the drawings which illustrate the invention, FIGURE 1 is a perspective view of a ball, It illustrates the overall concept.
FIGURE 2 is a sectional view of a shaped ball, According to a preferred embodiment, the upper faces are machined to accuse a slope downwards, going from the center of the ball to the sides. The faces lower are machined with the same slope so that the balls fit together well mounting.
The cutting of the lateral grooves is adapted to the type of joint required by the application.
FIGURE 3 is a sectional view of a ball made of three pieces, According to a preferred embodiment, the ball is formed using three pieces glued, two vertical pieces forming the legs of the H and a piece in the center forming the heart and connecting the legs.
FIGURE 4 is a sectional view of a double-shaped ball, According to a preferred embodiment, the upper faces are machined to accuse a slope downwards in two levels, going from the center of the ball towards the sides. The faces lower are machined with the same slopes so that the balls fit well to the assembly. The cutting of the lateral grooves is adapted to the type of joint required by the application.
FIGURE 5 is a sectional view of an unshaped ball, According to another embodiment, the upper and lower faces are planar.
Only the piece of insulation will ensure alignment during assembly. Cutting the grooves side is adapted to the type of joint required by the application.

FIGURE 6 is a sectional view of a ball made of four pieces, According to a preferred embodiment, the ball is formed using four parts glued, two vertical pieces forming the legs of the H and two pieces in the center forming the heart and connecting the legs.
Referring to the drawings, we will see:
