Abstract

Cette invention concerne des chenilles et des systèmes utilisés pour propulser des véhicules à chenilles [c'est-à-dire des véhicules utilisant des chenilles plutôt que des pneus pour un contact avec le sol sur lequel ils sont entraînés, par exemple les tracteurs, les chars d'assaut, les bulldozers, etc.], et plus particulièrement une conception de roue fendue améliorée et son procédé d'installation. Une nouvelle méthodologie en plusieurs étapes permet l'installation de la chenille et son utilisation efficace lorsque la roue de tension ou le pignon d'entraînement est remplacé par une roue fendue.
