Abstract
La présente invention concerne un ordonnanceur mettant en oeuvre une simulation de système de positionnement global (GPS) en vue de déterminer un ordre de desserte d'entités par la mise en oeuvre d'une nouvelle structure de données dynamique au moyen d'un mécanisme sophistiqué de mise à jour de pointeur, mais d'utilisation simple. Dans des mode de réalisation préférés l'ordonnanceur effectue une quantité fixe de travail par événement d'ordonnancement. Un événement d'ordonnancement peut consister en un calcul d'un nouvel horodatage virtuel de fin d'appel lors d'une nouvelle réception sur l'ordonnanceur, ou la détermination concernant quelles entités doivent sortir du système GPS étant donné que leur horodatage de fin d'appel a expiré. L'ordonnanceur peut être utilisé dans l'ordonnancement par paquets dans un dispositif de gestion par paquets, tel un routeur, l'ordonnancement d'accès de processus logiciels à un processeur informatique ou analogue. L'ordonnanceur peut effectuer un ordonnancement de gestion équitable à pondération (WFQ).
