Abstract

L'invention concerne des polypeptides améliorés, dont les dioxygénases, les déshydrogénases, les ligases et les transférases, qui sont utiles pour la synthèse biocatalytique de composés, tels que les acides .alpha.-hydroxycarboxyliques, et de composés d'acide aryl- et alkyl-hydroxy et carboxyliques. Lesdits polypeptides présentent des propriétés améliorées, telles que la régiosélectivité, l'activité enzymatique, la stéréospécificité et similaire. L'invention porte également sur des méthodes de production de polynucléotides recombinés qui codent pour lesdits polypeptides améliorés, qui sont des organismes exprimant le polypeptide et sont donc utiles pour la mise en oeuvre desdites synthèses biocatalytiques. Des méthodes d'augmentation de la résistance aux solvants des organismes utilisés dans les méthodes synthétiques sont également décrites.
