Abstract

The invention relates to a precompression system for placing between a pump and a discharge nozzle that are connected by a conduit debouching in a space. The system comprises a precompression valve movable between a closing position and a release position and biased to the closing position by spring means. In accordance with the invention the space is connected to the pump and the conduit is connected to the discharge nozzle. The spring means may be integrated in the precompression valve, for instance as a result of the precompression valve and the spring means being constituted by a resiliently flexible and preferably domed diaphragm. The space may be annular, may surround the end of the conduit and may be bordered by a cylindrical sleeve. The invention further relates to a spraying device comprising a pump, means connected to the suction side of the pump for supplying a fluid, a discharge nozzle connected to the compression side of the pump and a precompression system as disclosed above arranged between the pump and the discharge nozzle. Finally, the invention relates to an assembly constituted by a container and such a spraying device.

Claims (11)

1 1. Precompression system for placing between a pump (3) and a discharge nozzle (8), the system comprising a conduit (9) and a space (58) connecting the pump (3) and the discharge nozzle (8), the space (58) being connected to the pump (3) and the conduit (9) being connected to the discharge nozzle (8), the conduit (9) including a mouth debouching in the space (58), the space (58) being at least partially annular and least partially surrounding the end of the conduit (9), the system further including a precompression valve (59) movable between a position closing off the connection in which it abuts a seat (6) on the mouth of the conduit (9) and a position clearing the connection in which it is spaced from the seat (66), the precompression valve (59) being biased to the closing position by spring means (59), characterized in that the spring means (59) are integrated in the precompression valve (59), the spring means and the precompression valve being constituted by a resiliently flexible diaphragm (59), the system further including a substantially cylindrical sleeve (60) bordering the annular space (56) and integrally molded with the diaphragm (59).
2. Precompression system according to claim 1, characterized in that the diaphragm (59) is domed.
3. Precompression system according to claim 1 or 2, characterized by a stop member (64) cooperating with the diaphragm (59).
4. Precompression system according to claim 3, characterized in that the stop member (64) is integrally formed with the diaphragm (59).
5. Precompression system according to an of the preceding claims, characterized in that the part of the conduit (9) surrounded by the annular space (58) and the pump (3) each have a centre line, the centre lines being substantially parallel but offset with respect to each other.
6. Precompression system according to any of the preceding claims, characterized is that at least one suction opening (15) closable by a shut-off valve (63) is arranged in the sleeve (60).
7. Precompression system according to claim 6, characterized in that the shut-off valve (63) is integrally formed with the sleeve (60).
8, Precompression system according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterized is that the sleeve (60) includes a relatively flexible peripheral edge part (70) and a reduced diameter part (71) bordering on the flexible peripheral edge part (70).
9. Integrally molded precompression valve including spring means (59) and cylindrical sleeve (60) for use in a precompression system according to any of the preceding claims.
10. Spraying head (1) comprising a pump (3) having a suction side (5) and a compression side (6), means (7) connected to the suction side (5) of the pump (3) for supplying a fluid to be sprayed, a discharge nozzle (8) connected to the compression side (6) of the pump (3) and a precompression system according to any one of claims 1 to 8 arranged between the pump (3) and the discharge nozzle (8).
11. Spraying device comprising a container (2) having a neck (30) and a spraying head (1) according to claim 10 attached to the neck (30).
