Abstract
Disclosed is a catheter, more particularly a guiding catheter. The guiding catheter comprises an inner layer, a reinforcement layer, and an outer layer.
The reinforcement layer generally extends from the proximal end of the guiding catheter and terminates proximal to the distal end of the guiding catheter.
The distal portion of the guiding catheter comprises a soft material to facilitate manipulation. The reinforcement layer can be attached to the inner layer and the outer layer attaches to both the reinforcement layer and the inner layer.
Proximal portion of the guiding catheter can have a folded cuff.
The reinforcement layer generally extends from the proximal end of the guiding catheter and terminates proximal to the distal end of the guiding catheter.
The distal portion of the guiding catheter comprises a soft material to facilitate manipulation. The reinforcement layer can be attached to the inner layer and the outer layer attaches to both the reinforcement layer and the inner layer.
Proximal portion of the guiding catheter can have a folded cuff.
