Abstract
La présente invention se rapporte à des formulations inhibant la corrosion, de longue durée et très résistantes, ainsi qu'à des compositions permettant d'inhiber la formation de calamine minérale et la corrosion des métaux, notamment l'érosion par cavitation de l'aluminium en présence de liquides aqueux. La combinaison d'un mélange de polycarboxylates polymères, d'azoles, d'une association de nitrites et de nitrates, de phosphates, de silicates stabilisés et de composés métalliques de transition assure un effet protecteur synergique contre l'érosion par cavitation de l'aluminium dans des liquides aqueux réduisant le taux de corrosion, et est efficace à des concentrations relativement faibles et dans des gammes de pH variables. L'addition de polycarboxylates polymères sélectionnés ne réduit pas seulement de manière importante l'érosion par cavitation des fluides de refroidissement à base de glycol, la corrosion de l'aluminium de composants évacuant de la chaleur, la formation de précipités dans les eaux dures et l'entartrage, mais on a également découvert que les polycarboxylates polymères combinés à des silicates stabilisés par du siloxane renforcent la stabilisation des silicates secondaires, ce qui permet d'accroître la protection contre la corrosion de l'aluminium et la durée de vie des fluides de refroidissement lorsque ces polycarboxylates sont ajoutés à des quantités sélectionnées des additifs ci-dessus mentionnés. Ces formulations sont particulièrement adaptées aux applications automobiles.
