Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de pulvérisation de refroidissement liquide dans une tour de refroidissement du gaz (10). Ce système est modifié pour lessiver le bioxyde de soufre et d'autres gaz formant de l'acide. Une bouillie de fines particules d'hydroxyde de calcium dont le diamètre moyen est inférieur à 25 microns est fournie à partir d'une source de bouillie (61) et injectée par un injecteur de bouillie (62) dans le liquide de refroidissement avant sa pulvérisation dans la tour de refroidissement du gaz (10). Plusieurs buses de pulvérisation (55) et un moyen de commande (60) sont prévus pour assurer une pulvérisation atomisée pouvant être contrôlée, et un injecteur de bouillie (62) et des moyens de commande (60) sont prévus pour introduire une quantité contrôlée de bouillie de bioxyde de soufre pour maximiser l'efficacité de collecte du bioxyde de soufre selon un faible rapport molaire calcium/soufre.
