Abstract

Selon cette invention, un dispositif (100) de stockage de données possède ce qui suit: un support de stockage de données (14); une tête de lecture/d'écriture (46) qui écrit des données numériques sur le support de stockage de données et lit les données depuis ce support; et une interface électrique (104) couplée au support de stockage de données, qui peut être couplée de manière sélective à un premier port de communication d'un premier appareil numérique ou à un deuxième port de communication d'un deuxième appareil numérique. Le dispositif de stockage de données reçoit les données numériques générées par le premier appareil numérique à travers l'interface électrique, stocke les données numériques reçues sur le support de stockage de données sous la forme de données numériques stockées et transfère les données numériques stockées vers le deuxième appareil numérique en utilisant l'interface électrique. L'invention est particulièrement utile lorsque le premier appareil numérique se présente comme une caméra numérique munie d'un port d'interface de flash compact.
