Abstract
The purpose of this invention is to provide hot water to campers or anyone who has a wood or oil burning stove. It consists of one compartment that simply fits around the existing chimney pipe therefore allowing it to dispense water by way of a water tap.
Description
APPENDIX-A
The following is a summary of what our invention consists of This invention relates to a WATER-HEATER for wood-fired stoves. It is common for people to place cumberson water pots on wood stoves to provide hot water and humidity.
We have found that incorporating the WATER-HEATER with the chimney by means of a double pipe to create a water jacket would free the stove top while providing a greater volume of hot water in much less time. It would also provide a much easier and safer dispensing method by way of a tap.
Our invention, while being one piece, consists of two main parts. T a ' ide, smaller diameter pipe will serve as the chimney and the heat source for the water jacket. The outside, larger diameter pipe will serve as the water jacket. The top and bottom of the water jacket will have a hole in the center to allow the chimney to run through them. They will then be welded to make them watertight. The bottom will be fitted with a water tap to dispense the hot water. The top of the water jacket will have a funnel running through to allow the user to fill it with cold water.
It will also have a safety valve on the opposite side to allow any surge of steam to escape in order to prevent the user from getting burnt as he is filling the water jacket. The water heater will be constructed mainly with stainless steel or any other material that we may see fit. It can be constructed any size to suit any wood-stove.
See Appendix-B, Appendix-C and Appendix-D for further details.
