On rend des particules hydrophobes en les traitant avec un composé contenant des groupes amino et silanes, puis avec un composé de silane contenant un groupe hydrophobe. L'invention est particulièrement utile pour traiter les particules minérales hydrophiles. Les particules traitées peuvent être utilisées, par exemple, comme charges dans des mélanges maîtres de polymères.
