Abstract

The charging device comprises a feed hopper (11), a feed chute (12), a feed table (13) and at least one charging element (14) which comprises a thrust part (15) and a guide part (16). While the thrust part (15) serves to convey the combustible material, the guide part (16) serves to guide the thrust part and to seal the charging element to the outside, so that no gases can escape to the outside from the combustion chamber.
Moreover, secondary air is also prevented from being drawn into the combustion installation. A sealing arrangement (21) serves this purpose.
